‘ All its land is brimstone and salt, burned debris, unsown and unproductive, and no grass grows on it, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the Lord overthrew in His anger and in His wrath.’All the nations will say,‘ Why has the Lord done all this to this land? Why this great outburst of anger?’Then people will say,‘ It is because they abandoned the covenant of the Lord, the God of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them out of the land of Egypt.

As when God overthrew Sodom And Gomorrah with its neighbors,” declares the Lord,“ No one will live there, Nor will anyone of mankind reside in it.

And you, Capernaum, will not be exalted to heaven, will you? You will be brought down to Hades! And Babylon, the beauty of kingdoms, the glory of the Chaldeans’ pride, Will be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

“ I overthrew you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, And you were like a log snatched from a fire; Yet you have not returned to Me,” declares the Lord.

If the Lord of armies Had not left us a few survivors, We would be like Sodom, We would be like Gomorrah.

Please, let me escape there( is it not small?) so that my life may be saved.”And he said to him,“ Behold, I grant you this request also, not to overthrow the town of which you have spoken.Hurry, escape there, for I cannot do anything until you arrive there.” Therefore the town was named Zoar.The sun had risen over the earth when Lot came to Zoar.Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah from the Lord out of heaven,and He overthrew those cities, and all the surrounding area, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground.

How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I surrender you, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? My heart is turned over within Me, All My compassions are kindled.
