He fell with his face to the ground at Jesus’ feet and thanked him.( Now he was a Samaritan.)

He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him— and he was a Samaritan.

Jesus sent out these twelve, instructing them as follows:“ Do not go to Gentile regions and do not enter any Samaritan town.

So I threw myself down at his feet to worship him, but he said,“ Do not do this! I am only a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony about Jesus. Worship God, for the testimony about Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

Philip went down to the main city of Samaria and began proclaiming the Christ to them.The crowds were paying attention with one mind to what Philip said, as they heard and saw the miraculous signs he was performing.For unclean spirits, crying with loud shrieks, were coming out of many who were possessed, and many paralyzed and lame people were healed.So there was great joy in that city.Now in that city was a man named Simon, who had been practicing magic and amazing the people of Samaria, claiming to be someone great.All the people, from the least to the greatest, paid close attention to him, saying,“ This man is the power of God that is called‘ Great.’”And they paid close attention to him because he had amazed them for a long time with his magic.But when they believed Philip as he was proclaiming the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they began to be baptized, both men and women.Even Simon himself believed, and after he was baptized, he stayed close to Philip constantly, and when he saw the signs and great miracles that were occurring, he was amazed.Now when the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them.These two went down and prayed for them so that they would receive the Holy Spirit.( For the Spirit had not yet come upon any of them, but they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)Then Peter and John placed their hands on the Samaritans, and they received the Holy Spirit.Now Simon, when he saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, offered them money,saying,“ Give me this power too, so that everyone I place my hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.”But Peter said to him,“ May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could acquire God’s gift with money!You have no share or part in this matter because your heart is not right before God!Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that he may perhaps forgive you for the intent of your heart.For I see that you are bitterly envious and in bondage to sin.”But Simon replied,“ You pray to the Lord for me so that nothing of what you have said may happen to me.”So after Peter and John had solemnly testified and spoken the word of the Lord, they started back to Jerusalem, proclaiming the good news to many Samaritan villages as they went.

so that all people will honor the Son just as they honor the Father. The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

So the Samaritan woman said to him,“ How can you– a Jew– ask me, a Samaritan woman, for water to drink?”( For Jews use nothing in common with Samaritans.)

the twenty- four elders throw themselves to the ground before the one who sits on the throne and worship the one who lives forever and ever, and they offer their crowns before his throne, saying:

Now many Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the report of the woman who testified,“ He told me everything I ever did.”So when the Samaritans came to him, they began asking him to stay with them. He stayed there two days,and because of his word many more believed.They said to the woman,“ No longer do we believe because of your words, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this one really is the Savior of the world.”

So too a Levite, when he came up to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.But a Samaritan who was traveling came to where the injured man was, and when he saw him, he felt compassion for him.He went up to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them. Then he put him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper, saying,‘ Take care of him, and whatever else you spend, I will repay you when I come back this way.’

The twenty- four elders and the four living creatures threw themselves to the ground and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne, saying:“ Amen! Hallelujah!”Then a voice came from the throne, saying:“ Praise our God all you his servants, and all you who fear him, both the small and the great!”

He sent messengers on ahead of him. As they went along, they entered a Samaritan village to make things ready in advance for him,but the villagers refused to welcome him, because he was determined to go to Jerusalem.Now when his disciples James and John saw this, they said,“ Lord, do you want us to call fire to come down from heaven and consume them?”But Jesus turned and rebuked them,and they went on to another village.

And the four living creatures were saying“ Amen,” and the elders threw themselves to the ground and worshiped.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest parts of the earth.”

Jesus said to her,“ Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.You people worship what you do not know. We worship what we know, because salvation is from the Jews.

Abram bowed down with his face to the ground, and God said to him,

Then the woman, with fear and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before him and told him the whole truth.

As they came into the house and saw the child with Mary his mother, they bowed down and worshiped him. They opened their treasure boxes and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying,“ Go away from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man!”

The Judeans replied,“ Aren’t we correct in saying that you are a Samaritan and are possessed by a demon?”

So when Peter came in, Cornelius met him, fell at his feet, and worshiped him.But Peter helped him up, saying,“ Stand up. I too am a mere mortal.”
