In those days Hezekiah was stricken with a terminal illness. He prayed to the LORD, who answered him and gave him a sign confirming that he would be healed.But Hezekiah was ungrateful; he had a proud attitude, provoking God to be angry at him, as well as Judah and Jerusalem.But then Hezekiah and the residents of Jerusalem humbled themselves and abandoned their pride, and the LORD was not angry with them for the rest of Hezekiah’s reign.

After this Jesus found him at the temple and said to him,“ Look, you have become well. Don’t sin any more, lest anything worse happen to you.”

He said,“ Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him.

A father tells his sons about your faithfulness.The LORD is about to deliver me, and we will celebrate with music for the rest of our lives in the LORD’s temple.”Isaiah ordered,“ Let them take a fig cake and apply it to the ulcerated sore and he will get well.”Hezekiah said,“ What is the confirming sign that I will go up to the LORD’s temple?”

When the crowd saw this, they were afraid and honored God who had given such authority to men.

How can I repay the LORD for all his acts of kindness to me?I will celebrate my deliverance, and call on the name of the LORD.I will fulfill my vows to the LORD before all his people.The LORD values the lives of his faithful followers.

I will praise you, O LORD, for you lifted me up, and did not allow my enemies to gloat over me.O LORD my God, I cried out to you and you healed me.
