“财主回答说，‘我的先祖亚伯拉罕啊！他们不会听的。但如果有一个死而复活的人去警告他们，他们肯定会悔改！’

他说：‘不然，我祖亚伯拉罕啊，如果有人从死人中复活，到他们那里去，他们必定会悔改。’

他說：『我祖亞伯拉罕哪，不是的，若有一個從死裏復活的，到他們那裏去的，他們必要悔改。』

對曰、我祖亞伯拉罕、不然也、若有由死復活者就之、彼必悔改、

曰「大父亞伯漢乎！斯未必可也。若有人自死者中起而往告之、則若輩必幡然悔悟矣。」

“‘ No, father Abraham,’ he said,‘ but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

Then the rich man said,‘ No, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

人们被大炎热灼烤，就亵渎了那有权柄统管这些灾害的神的名；他们也不悔改，不把荣耀归给他。第五位天使把他的碗倒在那兽的宝座上，兽的国就变成黑暗了，人们因痛苦而咬自己的舌头。他们因自己的痛苦、因自己的疮而亵渎了天上的神，还是不悔改离开自己的行为。

你们应当结出果子，与悔改的心相称！你们不要自己里面一开始就说‘我们有亚伯拉罕为先祖。’我告诉你们：神能从这些石头中给亚伯拉罕兴起儿女来。

就呼唤说：‘我父亚伯拉罕，可怜我吧！请打发拉撒路用指头蘸点水，凉一下我的舌头吧，因为我在这火焰里，极其痛苦！’

不是的。我告诉你们：你们如果不悔改，都会同样灭亡。”
