於是各賜白袍一件、囑其少候、以待被害同人定數之齊全。

未幾、望見不可勝數之群眾、係來自各種、各族、遐荒、重譯者；一律身着白袍、手持鳳尾棕枝、肅立寶座與羔羊前、

新人承恩、得以光明皎潔之純紵自服。」純紵者何、諸聖之善行也。

雖然、在爾撒爾底亦頗有若干人涅而不緇、迄今未汙其服；若輩當得身被道袍、而從我遊矣。凡百折不撓、終克致勝者、必得被以白袍；吾當使厥名長留生命冊上、而永不見削、且認之於吾父及眾天神之前也。

諦羅諸淑女。嘉獻會成行。諦羅諸富人。咸求爾包荒。

棄絕故我、不復沉湎聲色、日趨朽壞。務當以昨死今生之精神、易以新我。新我者、按天主之典型、依仁義之真諦而締造者也。

庶幾諸凡生於律法之下者、悉蒙拯贖、而吾人皆獲得兒女身分。正惟吾人之為兒女、故天主以其聖子之神、注於吾人之心、俾孺慕之情、油然而生、而發為呼親喊父之聲。

爾中凡已領洗而歸依基督者、實已服膺基督、有如衣之被體焉。

蓋爾所受者、非畏首畏尾之奴隸情緒；爾所受者、乃為呼爺喚父之兒女精神也。

主充我兮以力。使吾路兮安固。

使爾司鐸。佩德為裳。使爾諸聖。諠愉洋洋。

務須服膺吾主耶穌基督、有如衣之被體。毋汲汲以滿足情慾為事也。

願凡有耳者、諦聽聖神對諸教會之訓示：凡百折不撓、終克致勝者、吾必賜以潛藏之瑪納、頒以白圭、上鐫新名、惟受者識之、非外人所得而知也。

時一老者詢予曰：「彼身着白袍者誰？何自而來也？」予應之曰：「公自知之。」渠乃語予曰：若輩來自憂患中、備嘗艱辛、曾藉羔羊之血、自濯其袍、所服皜皜乎不可尚已；

以敏捷為履、載欣載奔、以傳平和之嘉音。

天主之正義、惟憑信仰耶穌基督、而加於篤信者之身；無偏無倚、一視同仁。

王入視客、見一人無禮服、謂之曰：「友、無禮服安得入此？」其人默然。

吾勸爾向我購置百煉之金、俾成真富；純白之衣、用掩爾羞；傅目之膏、以啟爾視。

即爾等異族之人、亦得耹福音之真諦、而與基督合為一體、且緣爾之信、咸得憑天主之恩諾、而受聖神之印證矣。聖神者、即吾儕選民承業蒙贖之質也。此亦所以發揚天主之光輝云耳。

溫溫司鐸。聖德飾身。祁祁天民。齊騰歡聲。
