In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.

In the same way, you must give up everything you have. Those of you who don’t cannot be my disciple.

So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.

So you cannot become my disciple without giving up everything you own.

In the same way, therefore, every one of you who does not renounce all his possessions cannot be my disciple.

So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions.

So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

In the same way, therefore, every one of you who does not say good-bye to all his possessions cannot be My disciple.

So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

In the same way therefore not one of you can be my disciple if he does not renounce all his own possessions.

So therefore whoever of you who doesn’t renounce all that he has, he can’t be my disciple.

Howbeit what things were gain to me, these have I counted loss for Christ.Yea verily, and I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but refuse, that I may gain Christ,

And he forsook all, and rose up and followed him.

But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,and kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thy heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back part of the price of the land?While it remained, did it not remain thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thy power? How is it that thou hast conceived this thing in thy heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.And Ananias hearing these words fell down and gave up the ghost: and great fear came upon all that heard it.

saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay my hands, he may receive the Holy Spirit.But Peter said unto him, Thy silver perish with thee, because thou hast thought to obtain the gift of God with money.Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right before God.Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray the Lord, if perhaps the thought of thy heart shall be forgiven thee.
