But Joshua told the people,“ You will not be able to worship Yahweh, because He is a holy God. He is a jealous God; He will not remove your transgressions and sins.If you abandon the Lord and worship foreign gods, He will turn against you, harm you, and completely destroy you, after He has been good to you.”“ No!” the people answered Joshua.“ We will worship the Lord.”Joshua then told the people,“ You are witnesses against yourselves that you yourselves have chosen to worship Yahweh.”“ We are witnesses,” they said.“ Then get rid of the foreign gods that are among you and offer your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”So the people said to Joshua,“ We will worship the Lord our God and obey Him.”

But to sit at My right and left is not Mine to give; instead, it belongs to those for whom it has been prepared by My Father.”

I consider it right, as long as I am in this bodily tent, to wake you up with a reminder,knowing that I will soon lay aside my tent, as our Lord Jesus Christ has also shown me.

And they said,“ Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the sky. Let us make a name for ourselves; otherwise, we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.”Then the Lord came down to look over the city and the tower that the men were building.The Lord said,“ If they have begun to do this as one people all having the same language, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.Come, let Us go down there and confuse their language so that they will not understand one another’s speech.”So from there the Lord scattered them over the face of the whole earth, and they stopped building the city.Therefore its name is called Babylon, for there the Lord confused the language of the whole earth, and from there the Lord scattered them over the face of the whole earth.
