And the slave came back and reported this to his master. Then the head of the household became angry and said to his slave,‘ Go out at once into the streets and lanes of the city and bring in here those who are poor, those with disabilities, those who are blind, and those who are limping.’

So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant,‘ Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.’

So the slave came back and reported this to his master. Then the master of the household was furious and said to his slave,‘ Go out quickly to the streets and alleys of the city, and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame.’

But when you make a feast, ask the poor, the maimed, the lame, or the blind;

Listen, my beloved brothers. Didn’t God choose those who are poor in this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the Kingdom which he promised to those who love him?

the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.

Then the lame man will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will sing; for waters will break out in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.

For I tell you that none of those men who were invited will taste of my supper.’”

how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation— which at the first having been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard,

He raises up the poor out of the dust. He lifts up the needy from the dunghill to make them sit with princes and inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are Yahweh’s. He has set the world on them.

But what do you think? Jesus answered them,“ Go and tell John the things which you have seen and heard: that the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.Blessed is he who finds no occasion for stumbling in me.”

He raises up the poor out of the dust. Lifts up the needy from the ash heap,that he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

Jesus said,“ I came into this world for judgment, that those who don’t see may see; and that those who see may become blind.”

I saw another great and marvelous sign in the sky: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them God’s wrath is finished.I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, and those who overcame the beast, his image, and the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God.They sang the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying,“ Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God, the Almighty! Righteous and true are your ways, you King of the nations.Who wouldn’t fear you, Lord, and glorify your name? For you only are holy. For all the nations will come and worship before you. For your righteous acts have been revealed.”After these things I looked, and the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened.The seven angels who had the seven plagues came out, clothed with pure, bright linen, and wearing golden sashes around their breasts.One of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God, who lives forever and ever.The temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power. No one was able to enter into the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels would be finished.

Your rigging is untied. They couldn’t strengthen the foot of their mast. They couldn’t spread the sail. Then the prey of a great plunder was divided. The lame took the prey.

See that you don’t refuse him who speaks. For if they didn’t escape when they refused him who warned on the earth, how much more will we not escape who turn away from him who warns from heaven,whose voice shook the earth then, but now he has promised, saying,“ Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heavens.”

Wisdom calls aloud in the street. She utters her voice in the public squares.She calls at the head of noisy places. At the entrance of the city gates, she utters her words:“ How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? How long will mockers delight themselves in mockery, and fools hate knowledge?Turn at my reproof. Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you. I will make known my words to you.Because I have called, and you have refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no one has paid attention;but you have ignored all my counsel, and wanted none of my reproof;

Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they watch on behalf of your souls, as those who will give account, that they may do this with joy, and not with groaning, for that would be unprofitable for you.

“ Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.

Therefore those who were scattered abroad went around preaching the word.Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and proclaimed to them the Christ.The multitudes listened with one accord to the things that were spoken by Philip when they heard and saw the signs which he did.For unclean spirits came out of many of those who had them. They came out, crying with a loud voice. Many who had been paralyzed and lame were healed.

and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

From that city many of the Samaritans believed in him because of the word of the woman, who testified,“ He told me everything that I did.”So when the Samaritans came to him, they begged him to stay with them. He stayed there two days.Many more believed because of his word.They said to the woman,“ Now we believe, not because of your speaking; for we have heard for ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.”

Out of his mouth proceeds a sharp, double- edged sword, that with it he should strike the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He treads the wine press of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty.

The Pharisees therefore answered them,“ You aren’t also led astray, are you?Have any of the rulers believed in him, or of the Pharisees?But this multitude that doesn’t know the law is cursed.”

The Spirit and the bride say,“ Come!” He who hears, let him say,“ Come!” He who is thirsty, let him come. He who desires, let him take the water of life freely.

The apostles, when they had returned, told him what things they had done. He took them and withdrew apart to a desert region of a city called Bethsaida.

On the top of high places by the way, where the paths meet, she stands.Beside the gates, at the entry of the city, at the entry doors, she cries aloud:“ I call to you men! I send my voice to the sons of mankind.

It was broken in that day; and thus the poor of the flock that listened to me knew that it was Yahweh’s word.

So David’s young men turned on their way, and went back, and came and told him all these words.

So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were exceedingly sorry, and came and told their lord all that was done.

Then the disciples came, and said to him,“ Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”

“ Run back and forth through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in its wide places, if you can find a man, if there is anyone who does justly, who seeks truth, then I will pardon her.

So I fed the flock of slaughter, especially the oppressed of the flock. I took for myself two staffs. The one I called“ Favor”, and the other I called“ Union”, and I fed the flock.

She has sent out her maidens. She cries from the highest places of the city:“ Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!” As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,

Give sincere homage to the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish on the way, for his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all those who take refuge in him.

For my waist is filled with burning. There is no soundness in my flesh.
