耶穌又對邀請他的人說：“你設午餐或晚宴，不要請你的朋友、弟兄、親戚或富裕的鄰舍，恐怕他們又回請你，你就得了報答。

耶稣又对请他的人说：“你摆设午饭或晚饭，不要请你的朋友、弟兄、亲属，和富足的邻舍，恐怕他们也请你，你就得了报答。

又謂請之者曰、爾設午餐、或晚餐、毋招爾朋友、兄弟、親戚、富鄰、恐彼復招爾而受其報也、

又謂請之者曰、爾設午餐或晚餐、勿請朋友、兄弟、親戚、富鄰、恐酬爾而受報也、

又謂請之者曰、爾設午餐、或晚餐、勿請朋友、兄弟、親戚、富鄰、恐彼亦請爾、而爾受其報、

耶穌復告主人曰：『爾設宴時、毋邀良朋昆弟戚屬富鄰、誠恐若輩還禮、則爾獲報矣。

Then Jesus said to his host,“ When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid.

Then Jesus spoke to his host.“ Suppose you give a lunch or a dinner,” he said.“ Do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, or your relatives, or your rich neighbors. If you do, they may invite you to eat with them. So you will be paid back.

He said also to the man who had invited him,“ When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid.

Then he turned to his host.“ When you put on a luncheon or a banquet,” he said,“ don’t invite your friends, brothers, relatives, and rich neighbors. For they will invite you back, and that will be your only reward.

He also said to the one who had invited him,“ When you give a lunch or a dinner, don’t invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors, because they might invite you back, and you would be repaid.

Now He also went on to say to the one who had invited Him,“ Whenever you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor wealthy neighbors, otherwise they may also invite you to a meal in return, and that will be your repayment.

Then He also said to him who invited Him,“ When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid.

And he said to him also that had bidden him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, nor thy kinsmen, nor rich neighbors; lest haply they also bid thee again, and a recompense be made thee.

He also said to the one who had invited Him,“ When you give a lunch or a dinner, don’t invite your friends, your brothers, your relatives, or your rich neighbors, because they might invite you back, and you would be repaid.

Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor[ thy] rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.

He said also to the man who had invited him,“ When you host a dinner or a banquet, don’t invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors so you can be invited by them in return and get repaid.

He also said to the one who had invited him,“ When you make a dinner or a supper, don’t call your friends, nor your brothers, nor your kinsmen, nor rich neighbors, or perhaps they might also return the favor, and pay you back.

如果你們只愛那些愛你們的人，有甚麼賞賜呢？稅吏不也是這樣作嗎？

我的弟兄們，你們既然對我們榮耀的主耶穌基督有信心，就不應該憑外貌待人。如果有一個手戴金戒指、身穿華麗衣服的人，進入你們的會堂；又有一個衣衫襤褸的窮人，也進去了。你們就看重那穿華麗衣服的人，說：“請坐在這好位上。”又對那個窮人說：“你站在那裡。”或說：“坐在我的腳凳下邊。”這不是你們對人有歧視，成了心懷惡意的審判官嗎？我親愛的弟兄們，請聽：神不是揀選了在世上被認為貧窮的人嗎？這些人卻在信心上富足，而且是承受神的國的人。這國是神應許賜給愛他的人的。然而你們卻侮辱窮人。其實，那些欺壓你們，拉你們上法庭的，不就是富足的人嗎？

欺壓窮人為要增加自己財富的，送禮給財主的，必致窮乏。

“你們小心，不要在眾人面前行你們的義，讓他們看見；如果這樣，就得不到你們天父的賞賜。因此你施捨的時候，不可到處張揚，好像偽君子在會堂和街上所作的一樣，以博取眾人的稱讚。我實在告訴你們，他們已經得了他們的賞賜。你施捨的時候，不要讓左手知道右手所作的，好使你的施捨是在隱密中行的。你父在隱密中察看，必定報答你。

如果單愛那些愛你們的人，那有甚麼好處呢？罪人也愛那些愛他們的人。如果只善待那些善待你們的人，那有甚麼好處呢？罪人也會這樣行。如果借給人，又指望向人收回，那有甚麼好處呢？罪人也借給罪人，要如數收回。你們要愛仇敵，善待他們；借出去，不要指望償還；這樣你們的賞賜就大了，你們也必作至高者的兒子，因為神自己也寬待忘恩的和惡人。你們要仁慈像你們的父仁慈一樣。

窮人連鄰舍也厭惡他；財主卻有很多人愛他。

“你要告訴這地的人民和祭司說：‘這七十年來，你們在五月和七月禁食哀哭，豈是真的為我禁食呢？你們吃，你們喝，豈不是為你們自己吃，為你們自己喝嗎？這些話耶和華不是曾藉著從前的先知宣告了嗎？那時，耶路撒冷和四圍的城鎮都有人居住，很是興旺，南地和高地都有人居住。’”

讓飢餓的得飽美食，使富足的空手回去。

“你們禁食的時候，不可像偽君子那樣愁眉苦臉，他們裝成難看的樣子，叫人看出他們在禁食。我實在告訴你們，他們已經得了他們的賞賜。可是你禁食的時候，要梳頭洗臉，不要叫人看出你在禁食，只讓在隱密中的父看見。你父在隱密中察看，必定報答你。
