For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

When they have brought you low, you will speak with confidence, And He will save the humble person.

For You save an afflicted people, But You humiliate haughty eyes.

He has done mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who were proud in the thoughts of their hearts.

The fear of the Lord is the instruction for wisdom, And before honor comes humility.

“ Adorn yourself with pride and dignity, And clothe yourself with honor and majesty.Let out your outbursts of anger, And look at everyone who is arrogant, and humble him.Look at everyone who is arrogant, and humble him, And trample down the wicked where they stand.

So Samuel said,“ Is it not true, though you were insignificant in your own eyes, that you became the head of the tribes of Israel? For the Lord anointed you as king over Israel.

For this is what the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, says:“ I dwell in a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.
