In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day— for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem!

因此，耶穌不再在猶太人中間公開活動，卻離開那裡，到曠野附近的地方去；到了一座名叫以法蓮的城，就和門徒住在那裡。

耶穌說：“我的食物就是遵行差我來者的旨意，並且完成他的工作。

“我們現在上耶路撒冷去，人子要被交給祭司長和經學家，他們要定他死罪，

住在耶路撒冷的人和他們的官長，因為不認識基督，也不明白每逢安息日所讀的先知的話，就把他定了罪，正好應驗了先知的話。

並且知道神怎樣用聖靈和能力膏立拿撒勒人耶穌。他到各處行善事，醫好所有被魔鬼壓制的人，因為神與他同在。

趁著白晝，我們必須作那差我來者的工；黑夜一到，就沒有人能作工了。

耶穌說：“光在你們中間的時間不多了。你們應當趁著有光的時候行走，免得黑暗追上你們。在黑暗中行走的人，不知道往哪裡去。

那裡的人不接待他，因為他面向著耶路撒冷走。
