“ Strive to enter through the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

曰當竭力以進窄門、我語汝、將有求進而不得者多也、

曰、竭力爭進窄門、吾語汝、求入不得者多也、

耶穌曰、當竭力爭進窄門、我告爾、將有多人、求進而不得進、

曰『爾等當勉入窄門。予實語爾、欲入而不得入者、眾矣。

“ Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.

“ Try very hard to enter through the narrow door. I tell you, many will try to enter and will not be able to.

“ Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

“ Work hard to enter the narrow door to God’s Kingdom, for many will try to enter but will fail.

“ Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because I tell you, many will try to enter and won’t be able

“ Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

Strive to enter in by the narrow door: for many, I say unto you, shall seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

“ Exert every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choice of you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble;

“ Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.For the gate is narrow and the way is constricted that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

The desire of the lazy one puts him to death, For his hands refuse to work;

For not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.

Therefore let’s make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same example of disobedience.

Yet they seek Me day by day and delight to know My ways, As a nation that has done righteousness And has not forsaken the ordinance of their God. They ask Me for just decisions, They delight in the nearness of God.‘ Why have we fasted and You do not see? Why have we humbled ourselves and You do not notice?’ Behold, on the day of your fast you find your desire, And oppress all your workers.Behold, you fast for contention and strife, and to strike with a wicked fist. You do not fast like you have done today to make your voice heard on high!

But stay alert at all times, praying that you will have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

You will seek Me, and will not find Me; and where I am, you cannot come.”

The labor of a fool makes him so weary that he does not even know how to go to a city.

Because I called and you refused, I stretched out my hand and no one paid attention;And you neglected all my advice And did not want my rebuke;I will also laugh at your disaster; I will mock when your dread comes,When your dread comes like a storm And your disaster comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you.Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently but will not find me,

And they come to you as people come, and sit before you as My people and hear your words, but they do not do them; for they do the lustful desires expressed by their mouth, and their heart follows their unlawful gain.

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win.Everyone who competes in the games exercises self control in all things. So they do it to obtain a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.Therefore I run in such a way as not to run aimlessly; I box in such a way, as to avoid hitting air;but I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that lasts for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you, for on Him the Father, God, has set His seal.”

So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;for it is God who is at work in you, both to desire and to work for His good pleasure.

Then He said again to them,“ I am going away, and you will look for Me, and will die in your sin; where I am going, you cannot come.”

For John had been saying to Herod,“ It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”And Herodias held a grudge against him and wanted to put him to death, and could not do so;for Herod was afraid of John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and he had been protecting him. And when he heard him, he was very perplexed; and yet he used to enjoy listening to him.

For this purpose I also labor, striving according to His power which works mightily within me.

So when you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide My eyes from you; Yes, even though you offer many prayers, I will not be listening. Your hands are covered with blood.

however, Israel, pursuing a law of righteousness, did not arrive at that law.Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as though they could by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone,just as it is written:“ Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, And the one who believes in Him will not be put to shame.”

When the man saw that he had not prevailed against him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip; and the socket of Jacob’s hip was dislocated while he wrestled with him.Then he said,“ Let me go, for the dawn is breaking.” But he said,“ I will not let you go unless you bless me.”

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has been treated violently, and violent men take it by force.

A scoffer seeks wisdom and finds none, But knowledge is easy for one who has understanding.

Little children, I am still with you a little longer. You will look for Me; and just as I said to the Jews, now I also say to you:‘ Where I am going, you cannot come.’
