For the gate is narrow and the way is constricted that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

So Peter, upon seeing him,* said to Jesus,“ Lord, and what about this man?”Jesus* said to him,“ If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me!”

And as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying,“ Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”And Jesus answered and said to them,“ See to it that no one misleads you.For many will come in My name, saying,‘ I am the Christ,’ and they will mislead many people.

For many are called, but few are chosen.”

They asked Him questions, saying,“ Teacher, when therefore will these things happen? And what will be the sign when these things are about to take place?”And He said,“ See to it that you are not misled; for many will come in My name, saying,‘ I am He,’ and,‘ The time is near.’ Do not go after them.

Now someone in the crowd said to Him,“ Teacher, tell my brother to divide the family inheritance with me.”But He said to him,“ You there— who appointed Me a judge or arbitrator over the two of you?”But He said to them,“ Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one is affluent does his life consist of his possessions.”

So the last shall be first, and the first, last.”

But He said to them,“ It is not for you to know periods of time or appointed times which the Father has set by His own authority;but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and as far as the remotest part of the earth.”

“ Tell us, when will these things come about, and what will be the sign when all these things are going to be fulfilled?”And Jesus began to say to them,“ See to it that no one misleads you.

When the disciples heard this, they were very astonished and said,“ Then who can be saved?”
