当人押你们到会堂，或到官员和当权者面前时，不要顾虑如何辩解，或说什么话，

人带你们到会堂，并官府和有权柄的人面前，不要思虑怎么分诉，说什么话；

有人带你们到会堂、官长和掌权的人面前，不要担心怎么答辩，说什么话；

有人带你们到会堂、官长和掌权的人面前，不要担心怎么答辩，说什么话；

人把你们拉到会堂、官长和当权者的面前，你们不要思虑怎样申辩或说什么话。

当他们把你们带到会堂，或带到统治者和掌权者面前的时候，不要忧虑怎样申辩或说什么。

當他們把你們帶到會堂，或帶到統治者和掌權者面前的時候，不要憂慮怎樣申辯或說什麼。

人曳爾至會堂、及執政操權者前、毋慮何以對、何所言、

人曳爾至會堂、及執政秉鈞者前、勿慮將如之何、何以訴、何以言、

人曳爾至會堂及執政秉權者前、勿慮將如何伸訴、何以伸訴、何以言、

人曳爾至會堂、或有司之前、毋庸鰓鰓過慮、其何以辯護、如何措詞、

“ When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say,

“ You will be brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities. But do not worry about how to stand up for yourselves or what to say.

And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious about how you should defend yourself or what you should say,

“ And when you are brought to trial in the synagogues and before rulers and authorities, don’t worry about how to defend yourself or what to say,

Whenever they bring you before synagogues and rulers and authorities, don’t worry about how you should defend yourselves or what you should say.

Now when they bring you before the synagogues and the officials and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you are to speak in your defense, or what you are to say;

“ Now when they bring you to the synagogues and magistrates and authorities, do not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you should say.

And when they bring you before the synagogues, and the rulers, and the authorities, be not anxious how or what ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:

Whenever they bring you before synagogues and rulers and authorities, don’t worry about how you should defend yourselves or what you should say.

And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and[ unto] magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:

But when they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, do not worry about how you should make your defense or what you should say,

When they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, don’t be anxious how or what you will answer, or what you will say;

“你们要小心谨慎，因为人们要把你们送上法庭，也要在会堂里鞭打你们。你们要因我的缘故被带到官长和君王面前，在他们和外族人面前为我做见证。当你们被押送公堂时，不用顾虑如何应对，或说什么话，那时必会赐给你们当说的话。因为那时候说话的不是你们自己，乃是你们父的灵借着你们说话。

第二天，官长、长老和律法教师都聚集在耶路撒冷，大祭司亚那，以及该亚法、约翰、亚历山大和大祭司的许多亲族都在场。他们令使徒站在当中，质问道：“你们凭什么权柄、以谁的名义这样做？”

“你们要小心，因为你们将被送上法庭，将在会堂里受鞭打，又将为了我的缘故在官长和君王面前做见证。不过，福音一定要先传遍天下。你们被拘捕，受审讯的时候，不用预先考虑怎样辩解，到时候赐给你们什么话，你们就说什么话，因为那时候说话的不是你们自己，而是圣灵。

“这些事情出现之前，人们要拘捕你们，迫害你们，把你们押到会堂和监牢，你们将为了我的名而被君王和官长审问。那时，正是你们为我做见证的好机会。你们要立定心志，不要为怎样申辩而忧虑，

“看啊，我派先知、智者和律法教师到你们当中，有的会遭到你们的杀害，被你们钉在十字架上；有的会在会堂里被你们鞭打，被你们从这城追到那城。

耶稣继续对门徒说：“所以，我告诉你们，不要为生活忧虑，如吃什么，也不要为身体忧虑，如穿什么。

使徒被带来后站在公会前，大祭司盘问他们，说：“我们不是严禁你们奉耶稣的名去教导百姓吗？你们竟然在耶路撒冷各处传道，还想把杀那人的血债归到我们身上！”彼得和其他使徒申辩说：“我们要服从的是上帝，而非人。你们钉死在十字架上的耶稣，我们祖先的上帝已经使祂复活了。上帝把祂提升到自己的右边，立祂为君王和救主，好赐给以色列人悔改的机会，使他们的罪得到赦免。我们就是这些事的见证人，上帝赐给顺服祂之人的圣灵也同样做见证。”

但有些来自古利奈、亚历山大、基利迦和亚细亚、属于“自由人会堂”的犹太人联合起来与司提凡辩论。他们无法驳倒司提凡，因为他靠着智慧和圣灵说话。于是，他们暗中唆使一些人诬告司提凡说：“我们听见他说亵渎摩西和上帝的话！”又煽动百姓、长老和律法教师抓住司提凡，把他押到公会。他们还派人作伪证说：“司提凡常常讲侮辱圣地和律法的话。我们听见他说那个拿撒勒人耶稣要毁坏圣殿，还要摒弃摩西传给我们的规矩。”在场的人都盯着司提凡，只见他的容貌好像天使一样。
