这是为要向这世代追讨那从创世以来所流的众先知的血，

使創世以來所流眾先知血的罪都要問在這世代的人身上，

為使創世以來所流眾先知的血的罪都歸在這世代的人身上，

為使創世以來所流眾先知的血的罪都歸在這世代的人身上，

為要使創世以來眾先知所流的血，從亞伯的血起，直到在祭壇和聖所之間受害的撒迦利亞的血為止，都向這一代追討。’是的，我告訴你們，都要向這一代追討。

使眾神言人的血、從世界創立以來所流出來的、都向這一代追討，

這是為要向這世代追討那從創世以來所流的眾先知的血，

致創世以來所流先知之血、皆於此代而討焉、

使創世以來、流先知血之罪、將於此代而討焉、

致創世以來、流先知之血、悉將討於此代、

故自有世以來、眾先知所流之血、咸將歸於斯代。」

Therefore this generation will be held responsible for the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the beginning of the world,

So the people of today will be punished. They will pay for all the prophets’ blood spilled since the world began.

凡是殺人害命的，無論人或獸，我必向他們追討血債。凡殺人的，我必追討他的血債。凡殺害人的，也必被人殺害，因為人是上帝照著自己的形像造的。

你們要剪掉頭髮，在光禿的山上哀哭，因為耶和華已棄絕這惹祂發怒的百姓。』」

不可跪拜它們，也不可供奉它們，因為我——你的上帝耶和華痛恨不貞，我必追討背棄我之人的罪，從父到子直到三四代。

看啊，耶和華要走出祂的居所，懲罰世上犯罪的人。大地必不再隱藏被殺之人的屍首，必將所流的血顯露出來。

毀滅者正前來攻打巴比倫，擒拿她的勇士，折斷他們的弓弩。耶和華是追討罪惡、報應惡人的上帝。

這樣，你們就不致玷污你們所居住的土地，因為血會玷污土地。除非用兇手的血作抵償，否則被血玷污的土地無法得到潔淨。

祂追討血債，顧念受害者，不忘傾聽受苦者的呼求。

瑪拿西濫殺無辜，使耶路撒冷血流遍地，耶和華不會赦免這些罪行。

上天啊，眾聖徒、眾使徒和眾先知啊，為她的下場歡樂吧！因為上帝已經向她施行報應，為你們伸冤了。」這時，有一位大力天使舉起一塊像大磨石的石頭扔進海裡，說：「巴比倫大城也必這樣被用力扔下去，消失得無影無蹤。在你那裡，再也聽不見彈琴作樂、鳴笛吹號的聲音了，再也找不到能工巧匠了，再也聽不到推磨的聲音了，再也看不到閃耀的燈光了，再也聽不見新婚夫婦的歡笑聲了。因為你的商人曾經趾高氣揚，你的邪術曾經迷惑萬國，你的城牆內流滿了眾先知、眾聖徒和地上一切被殺之人的血。」
