因此天主之妙慧、曾作警言曰：「予遣先知宗徒於若輩有為所害、有為所辱、

所以神用智慧曾说：‘我要差遣先知和使徒到他们那里去，有的他们要杀害，有的他们要逼迫’，

所以，上帝的智慧也曾说：‘我要差遣先知和使徒到他们那里去，有的他们要残杀，有的他们要迫害’，

所以，神的智慧也曾说：‘我要差遣先知和使徒到他们那里去，有的他们要残杀，有的他们要迫害’，

因此，充满智慧的上帝说，‘我要差遣先知和使徒到他们那里，有些要被杀害，有些要遭迫害’，

所以，神的智慧说：‘我要差遣先知和使徒到他们那里去，有的他们要杀害，有的他们要迫害，

为此，神的智慧也曾说：‘我将要差派先知和使徒到他们那里去。有些他们要杀害，有些他们要逼迫。’

所以神用智慧曾說：『我要差遣先知和使徒到他們那裏去，有的他們要殺害，有的他們要逼迫』，

是故上帝之哲言有云、我將遣先知使徒就彼、其中有見殺者、有見迫者、

睿智之上帝言曰、我遣先知使徒就彼、見殺有之、窘逐有之、

是以天主之智曾言曰、我將遣先知及使徒就彼、有為其所殺、有為其所窘逐、

Because of this, God in his wisdom said,‘ I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and others they will persecute.’

So God in his wisdom said,‘ I will send prophets and apostles to them. They will kill some. And they will try to hurt others.’

Therefore also the Wisdom of God said,‘ I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and persecute,’

This is what God in his wisdom said about you:‘ I will send prophets and apostles to them, but they will kill some and persecute the others.’

Because of this, the wisdom of God said,‘ I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will kill and persecute,’

For this reason also, the wisdom of God said,‘ I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will kill, and some they will persecute,

爾等得優遊於耶穌基督之中、天主之恩也；而耶穌基督實已成為吾人之智慧、正義、聖德、與救贖矣。

基督者、一切智慧之淵府也。

惟其時、爾將見鬻於父母、兄弟、親戚、朋友、且將有被人致死者焉。爾必因予之名、而見惡於眾也。

其時希祿王肆力摧殘教會同人。既殺若望之兄雅谷伯；

時掃羅氣燄逼人、必欲誅滅主之門徒。乃謁大司祭、求行文大馬士革各會堂、遇有此道中人、不論男女、盡縛解耶路撒冷。

然聖神降臨、將賜爾等以神力、而爾等將為予作證、始自耶路撒冷、繼及猶太沙瑪里、終至普天率土、無遠不屆。』

主曰：「去！予將遣汝遠適異邦。」』

恩澤所被、或為宗徒。或為先知、或傳福音、或充監牧、師傅、

俾痛悔赦罪之道、得藉其名而傳於世、始自耶路撒冷以達萬邦。

人將開除爾等教籍；屆時、殺爾者、且將自以為盡忠於天主矣！

而於蒙召之人、無論其國籍之為猶太或希臘、則為天主之德能與神慧也。

眾厲聲狂呼、自掩其耳、蠭擁而前、推之出城、以石擊之；為證者置其衣於一少年之足前、少年者掃羅也。眾方投石、司諦文呼籲天主曰：『乞主耶穌納予神魂！』又跪而呼曰：『主乎！勿將此罪歸於彼眾！』言畢即安然長眠。此固掃羅之所樂睹也。自此耶路撒冷教會受迫益甚；宗徒而外、盡散處猶太沙瑪里各地。

五次被鞭於猶太人、每次四十減一、三次受杖、一次石擊、三遭覆舟、飄於海中者一晝一夜、

對此「新道、」予亦曾加以凌迫、無所不用其極、逮捕信男信女、下之於獄。此固司祭長與諸父老能為予作證者也。予且曾領彼等致眾兄弟之書、往大馬士革、欲將彼處奉此道者、縛解耶路撒冷處刑；

餘人且執其僕、辱而殺之！

是故吾遣先知哲人經師於爾、爾或刃之釘之、或鞭之於會堂、逐之於諸邑、庶幾凡世上所流義血、自義者亞伯之血、以至殿臺間被殺者巴辣基子襍加理之血、皆歸於爾。吾誠告爾、凡此諸端、咸將歸責於斯代矣。

此即予在耶路撒冷時之所行也。嘗受權於司祭長、逮捕聖徒多人下獄其定讞處死、予亦與焉；且屢於會堂中加以楚撻、意欲迫其發褻瀆之語；恨之既甚、逐之外邑。

而掃羅則蹂躪教會、擅入人宅、逮捕男女信徒、下之於獄。
