睿智之上帝言曰、我遣先知使徒就彼、見殺有之、窘逐有之、

是以天主之智曾言曰、我將遣先知及使徒就彼、有為其所殺、有為其所窘逐、

因此天主之妙慧、曾作警言曰：「予遣先知宗徒於若輩有為所害、有為所辱、

Because of this, God in his wisdom said,‘ I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and others they will persecute.’

So God in his wisdom said,‘ I will send prophets and apostles to them. They will kill some. And they will try to hurt others.’

Therefore also the Wisdom of God said,‘ I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and persecute,’

This is what God in his wisdom said about you:‘ I will send prophets and apostles to them, but they will kill some and persecute the others.’

Because of this, the wisdom of God said,‘ I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will kill and persecute,’

凡智慧知識之寶藏、皆韞於彼、

使人知智與訓、辨悉哲言、受誨於處事之明智、及厥公義正直、使庸人得聰睿、少者得知識與精明、智者聞之增其學、達者聞之正其趨、令人通曉箴言、喻言、與智者之言、及其隱語、○

爾將為父母兄弟親戚朋友所付、爾中且有見殺者、爾為我名、將見憾於眾、

當時希律王措手、虐待會中數人、斬約翰之兄弟雅各、

掃羅向主之門徒、仍出威嚇殺戮之言、詣大祭司、求書達大馬色諸會堂、若遇從此道者、無論男女、則繫而解至耶路撒冷、

但聖神臨爾時、爾將得能、且於耶路撒冷、徧猶太、撒瑪利亞、以至地極、為我之證、

證爾者司提反之血見流時、我旁立樂從、守殺之者之衣、

其所賜者、有使徒、先知、宣道者、及牧師、教師、

智慧建室、鑿其七柱、宰畜調酒、肆筵設席、遣婢速客、己於邑之高處呼曰、

且以其名傳改悔、及赦罪之道於萬邦、自耶路撒冷始焉、

人將逐爾出會、且時將至、殺爾者、自以為事上帝也、

惟於奉召者、無論猶太希利尼、則基督為上帝之能、上帝之智、

眾大呼、掩耳、同心蜂擁而上、逐之出城、以石擊之、證者置衣於少者掃羅足前、眾擊時、司提反籲曰、主耶穌、納我神也、又跪而大呼曰、主乎、勿以此罪歸之、言畢而寢、掃羅亦悅其死、是日也、在耶路撒冷之教會、大起窘逐、使徒而外、皆散於猶太及撒瑪利亞諸地、

受猶太人鞭者五、每四十減一、杖責者三、石擊者一、舟壞者三、一日夜在深海、

智慧非呼召、明哲非發聲乎、立於路旁之阜上、四達之衢中、在於邑門、入邑之區、月城之場、大聲呼曰、人歟、我向爾曹呼召、我向世人揚聲、爾曹庸人、當知聰睿、愚者心宜通明、我言殊善、啟口皆正、爾其聽之、我口出真誠、我脣絕邪惡、我口所言皆義、無邪曲、無乖謬、通達者以為明晰、有識者以為正直、寧受我訓、不受白銀、宜得知識、勝於精金、蓋智慧愈於珍珠、凡可慕者、無足比擬、維我智慧、以聰明為居所、考究知識精明、

我曾窘逐斯道之人、以至於死、無論男女、繫付於獄、大祭司與諸長老、亦為我證、我曾受其遺兄弟之書、往大馬色、欲繫在彼者、曳至耶路撒冷受刑、

其餘執僕、辱而殺之、

是以我遣先知哲人士子就爾、見殺者有之、釘十架者有之、鞭於會堂、由此邑逐於彼邑者亦有之、致世間所流義人之血、悉歸於爾、即自義人亞伯之血、至爾所殺於殿壇間、巴拉加子撒迦利亞之血、我誠語汝、此事悉歸斯世也、○

又嘗行之於耶路撒冷、且由祭司諸長受權、多囚聖徒、迨其見殺、我亦許之、又屢刑之於會堂、強使褻瀆、攻之益狂、窘逐之至於外邑、

掃羅殘害教會、入諸家、執男女、下之獄、○
