But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.

to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

as it is written:“ God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that could not see and ears that could not hear, to this very day.”And David says:“ May their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a retribution for them.May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see, and their backs be bent forever.”

Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear? And don’t you remember?

Hear this, you foolish and senseless people, who have eyes but do not see, who have ears but do not hear:

Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord.

The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie,and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lieand so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

so that,“‘ they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!’”

Now this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, with integrity and godly sincerity. We have done so, relying not on worldly wisdom but on God’s grace.

When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city.“ Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked.“ Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered.“ Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”And Elisha prayed,“ Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.As the enemy came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the Lord,“ Strike this army with blindness.” So he struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked.Elisha told them,“ This is not the road and this is not the city. Follow me, and I will lead you to the man you are looking for.” And he led them to Samaria.After they entered the city, Elisha said,“ Lord, open the eyes of these men so they can see.” Then the Lord opened their eyes and they looked, and there they were, inside Samaria.

Who is blind but my servant, and deaf like the messenger I send? Who is blind like the one in covenant with me, blind like the servant of the Lord?

The stingy are eager to get rich and are unaware that poverty awaits them.

The Lord has brought over you a deep sleep: He has sealed your eyes( the prophets); he has covered your heads( the seers).

They know nothing, they understand nothing; their eyes are plastered over so they cannot see, and their minds closed so they cannot understand.

adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly.

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,

So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices.

Now the hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind for a time, not even able to see the light of the sun.” Immediately mist and darkness came over him, and he groped about, seeking someone to lead him by the hand.

Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.”

Then they struck the men who were at the door of the house, young and old, with blindness so that they could not find the door.

Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.
