示巴女王聽見所羅門為永恆主耶和華的名所造成的名聲，就來，要用難解的話試試所羅門。她來到耶路撒冷、帶着很多隨從；有駱駝馱着香料、金子很多，又有寶石。她來見所羅門，將她心裏所存着的全都對所羅門說出。所羅門將她的一切話題都給她解說明白；沒有一件太隱祕是王不能給她解說的。示巴女王見所羅門的各樣智慧、和他所建造的宮室、他席上的食品、他臣僕的坐次、他聽差的站班、他們的服裝、他的酒政、以及他的燔祭、就是他在永恆主殿裏所獻上的；她看見了這一切，就詫異得神不守舍。她便對王說：『我在我本地所聽見關於你的事和你的智慧的傳說都是真的。我先前不信那些傳說；及至我來、親眼看見，才看出人所告訴我的還不到一半：你實在有智慧和福分超過我所聽見的傳聞哪。你的妻妾有福啊！你這些臣僕有福啊，這些不斷侍立你面前、聽你智慧話的！永恆主你的上帝是當受祝頌的；他喜愛了你，使你在以色列的王位上；因為永恆主永遠喜愛以色列，所以他才立了你做王、來秉公行義。』於是示巴女王將一百二十擔金子、很多香料、又有寶石、給了王；以後進來的香料再也沒有像示巴女王給了所羅門王的那麼多。希蘭的船隊、從俄斐帶了金子來的、也從俄斐運來了極多檀香木、又有寶石。王為永恆主的殿和王的宮室作了檀香木的挨牆柱，又為歌唱人作了琴瑟；以後再也沒有這樣的檀香木進了來，直到今日也沒有人看見過。所羅門王除了照王的派頭送給示巴女王的，還將女王所求所想要的都送給她。於是女王和她的臣僕就轉回她本地去了。

聖靈取了身體的形狀降下來、彷彿鴿子、在他上頭；有聲音從天上來，說：『你是我所愛的兒子，我喜悅了你。』

因為有一個孩子給我們生下來，有一個兒子賜給我們；有政權在他肩頭上；他的名稱為「神奇謀士，神威勇士，永恆之父，泰平之君。」他的政權宏大，他的泰平無窮，在大衛的寶座上治理他的國，以公平公義堅立而支持它，從今時直到永遠。萬軍之永恆主的熱心必成就這事。

因着信、挪亞得了神諭關於還未看到的事，就動了虔敬的心而建備樓船、來救他的家，便藉着信而定了那世代的罪，自己也承受了依信而稱的義。

永恆主對我說：『轉離正道的以色列比詭詐的猶大還顯得罪輕。

而那生來沒受割禮、且能行盡律法的人、就要將你這憑着典籍和割禮去違犯律法的人定罪了。

凡為攻擊你而製造的器械、必用得不順利；凡在審判時起來跟你爭辯的舌頭、你都必證它為不對；這是永恆主僕人的產業，是他們從我所得的勝訴：永恆主發神諭說了。』

他是人不能見的上帝之像，是首生者超越一切被創造者；因為萬有、在天上的和在地上的、人能見的和不能見的、或是「眾王位」、或「眾主治」、或「眾執政的」、或「眾掌權的」、都是本着他而被創造的：萬有都藉着他，又是為要歸於他而被創造的。他在萬有之先，萬有也本着他而一同立住；他是身體、教會、的頭；他是元始，是從死人中首先活起來的首生者，好使他在萬事上居首位，因為上帝早就樂意使完全豐滿都住在他裏面；

有聲音從雲中說：『這是我的兒子、我揀選的；你們要聽他。』
