He answered,“‘ Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and,‘ Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

The man answered,“‘ You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And,‘ Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

你要以全心、全靈、全意、全力愛主——你的神。』「其次就是『要愛鄰如己。』沒有別的誡命比這兩條更大的了。」

耶穌對他說：「『你要以全心、全靈、全意愛主——你的神』，這是最大的，也是最重要的誡命。其次的也和它類似，『要愛鄰如己。』全部律法和先知書都是以這兩條誡命為依據的。」

這是因為，那「不可通姦，不可殺人，不可偷竊，不可貪心」的誡命，或是別的什麼誡命，都包含在「要愛鄰如己」這一句話裡了。

不過，你們如果照著經上那條至尊的律法「要愛鄰如己」完全實行，你們就做得很好了。

以全心、全智、全力來愛神，並且要愛鄰如己，這是比所有的燔祭和各種祭祀都重要的。」耶穌見他回答得有智慧，就對他說：「你離神的國不遠了。」於是，沒有人敢再質問耶穌了。

孩子們哪，讓我們不在語言或口頭上相愛，而在行為和真理中相愛，

要孝敬父母、要愛鄰如己。」

主又說，在那些日子以後，我要與以色列家訂立這樣的約：我要把我的法則放在他們的意念中，刻在他們的心上；我將要做他們的神，他們將要做我的子民。

弟兄們，你們蒙召是為了得自由，只是不可用這自由給肉體一個機會，而是要藉著愛彼此服事，
