And thou, Capernaum, shalt thou be exalted unto heaven? thou shalt be brought down unto Hades.

迦百農歟、爾將升於天乎、必下陰府耳、

迦百農乎、爾曾得升至天、又將推落暗府、

加伯農乎、爾曾得升至天、後必墮於地獄、

鳴呼葛法農！爾欲被陟而登青雲乎？爾必被降而入幽獄也！

And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted to the heavens? No, you will go down to Hades.

And what about you, Capernaum? Will you be lifted up to the heavens? No! You will go down to the place of the dead.

And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You shall be brought down to Hades.

And you people of Capernaum, will you be honored in heaven? No, you will go down to the place of the dead.”

And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? No, you will go down to Hades.

And you, Capernaum, will not be exalted to heaven, will you? You will be brought down to Hades!

And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades.

And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? No, you will go down to Hades!

And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell.

And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? No, you will be thrown down to Hades!

You, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades.

And thou saidst in thy heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; and I will sit upon the mount of congregation, in the uttermost parts of the north;I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.Yet thou shalt be brought down to Sheol, to the uttermost parts of the pit.

and leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the borders of Zebulun and Naphtali:

And thou, Capernaum, shalt thou be exalted unto heaven? thou shalt go down unto Hades: for if the mighty works had been done in Sodom which were done in thee, it would have remained until this day.

For if God spared not angels when they sinned, but cast them down to hell, and committed them to pits of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

And be not afraid of them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Therefore Sheol hath enlarged its desire, and opened its mouth without measure; and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth among them, descend into it.

And they shall not lie with the mighty that are fallen of the uncircumcised, that are gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war, and have laid their swords under their heads, and their iniquities are upon their bones; for they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.

To whom art thou thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet shalt thou be brought down with the trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth: thou shalt lie in the midst of the uncircumcised, with them that are slain by the sword. Whither are we going up? our brethren have made our heart to melt, saying, The people are greater and taller than we; the cities are great and fortified up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakim there.

Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall destroyers come unto her, saith Jehovah.

They shall fall in the midst of them that are slain by the sword: she is delivered to the sword; draw her away and all her multitudes.

And in Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

then will I bring thee down with them that descend into the pit, to the people of old time, and will make thee to dwell in the nether parts of the earth, in the places that are desolate of old, with them that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited; and I will set glory in the land of the living.

Though they dig into Sheol, thence shall my hand take them; and though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down.And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and it shall bite them.

After he had ended all his sayings in the ears of the people, he entered into Capernaum.And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear unto him, was sick and at the point of death.

Though thou mount on high as the eagle, and though thy nest be set among the stars, I will bring thee down from thence, saith Jehovah.

There shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and yourselves cast forth without.

Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit.
