And that servant, who knew his lord’s will, and made not ready, nor did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes;but he that knew not, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. And to whomsoever much is given, of him shall much be required: and to whom they commit much, of him will they ask the more.
Wherefore thou art without excuse, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest dost practise the same things.
If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no excuse for their sin.He that hateth me hateth my Father also.If I had not done among them the works which none other did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.But this cometh to pass, that the word may be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
and shall not the uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who with the letter and circumcision art a transgressor of the law?
