Then God said:“ No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him.

O seed of Abraham His servant, You children of Jacob, His chosen ones!He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth.He remembers His covenant forever, The word which He commanded, for a thousand generations,The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac,And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant,

Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers.For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed;

I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

The Lord has sworn in truth to David; He will not turn from it:“ I will set upon your throne the fruit of your body.If your sons will keep My covenant And My testimony which I shall teach them, Their sons also shall sit upon your throne forevermore.”For the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling place:“ This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it.I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread.I will also clothe her priests with salvation, And her saints shall shout aloud for joy.There I will make the horn of David grow; I will prepare a lamp for My Anointed.

In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”

Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say,“ And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one,“ And to your Seed,” who is Christ.And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect.
