看哪，你要成为哑巴，不能说话，一直到这些事成就的日子，因为你不相信我的话！到了时候，我的话就会应验。”

看哪，你要成為啞巴，不能說話，一直到這些事成就的日子，因為你不相信我的話！到了時候，我的話就會應驗。」

爾必默不能言、以至事成之日、因爾不信我言、而屆時必應也、

因是將成瘖啞、以迄事成之日。』

藉着这两件不能更改的事——在这些事上，神不可能说谎——使我们这些逃往避难所、抓住那摆在前面盼望的人，可以得到极大的鼓励。

凡是我所爱的，我都责备、管教。所以你应当热心，应当悔改。

于是他们向孩子的父亲打手势，到底他愿意叫他什么名字。撒迦利亚要了一块写字板，写上：“他的名字是约翰。”大家都感到惊奇。

耶稣回答他们，说：“唉，这个不信的世代！我还要和你们在一起多久呢？我还要容忍你们多久呢？把孩子带到我这里来吧！”

我们如果不信实，他仍然是信实的，因为他不能否定自己。

这相信的女子是蒙福的，因为主对她说的话都会实现。”

这是基于那永恒生命的盼望，而这盼望是那不撒谎的神在亘古以前所应许的。

当他出来不能和他们说话的时候，他们才了解他在圣所里看到了异象。撒迦利亚一直向他们打手势，却始终不能说话。

其中一位说：“明年这时候，我一定回到你这里。看哪，你的妻子撒拉将会有一个儿子！”当时撒拉正在那人后面的帐篷入口听着。亚伯拉罕和撒拉都已经老了，上了年纪，撒拉的月事也停止了。撒拉暗笑，心里说：“我已经衰老，我的丈夫也老了，我还能有这等快乐吗？”耶和华对亚伯拉罕说：“撒拉为什么暗笑，说：‘我已经老了，真的还能生育吗？’在耶和华还有难成的事吗？到了所定的时期，明年这时候，我必回到你这里；那时撒拉就会有一个儿子。”撒拉因为害怕就否认说：“我没有笑”；但那人说：“不，你确实笑了。”

后来那十一个使徒吃饭的时候，耶稣向他们显现，并斥责他们的不信和心里刚硬，因为他们不相信那些在他复活后看到他的人。

以法莲之首不过是撒马利亚，撒马利亚之首不过是利玛利的儿子。你们如果不相信，就一定不能坚立。”’”

即使他们中有些人不信，到底又怎么样呢？难道他们的不信会使神的信实无效吗？
