His sons brought the blood to him, and he dipped his finger into the blood and put it on the horns of the altar; the rest of the blood he poured out at the base of the altar.

祭司要把指頭蘸在血裏，在永恆主面前、對着聖所的帷帳彈點兒血七次。祭司要把點兒血抹在會棚內永恆主面前香壇的四角上，又把公牛所有的血都倒在會棚的出入處燔祭壇腳那裏。

就宰了公牛；取點兒血，用指頭抹在祭壇四角上的周圍，給祭壇除罪污，把血倒在祭壇腳那裏，將壇分別為聖，給祭壇除罪染。

祭司要用指頭蘸點兒血，在永恆主面前、對着帷帳彈七次。他要把一點兒血抹在會棚內永恆主面前香壇的四角上，又把所有的血都倒在會棚出入處燔祭壇腳那裏。

因為公牛和山羊的血是不能把罪除掉的。所以基督進入世界的時候，他仿彿是用詩人的話來說：『祭物和供物、你未嘗願要過，你只為我豫備了身體以自獻為祭。全燔祭和為罪獻的祭、你未嘗喜悅過。於是我說：「看哪，我來了；上帝啊，我來是要遵行你旨意的」；關於我的事、經卷上已有記載了。』以上既說：『祭物和供物、全燔祭和為罪獻的祭、你未嘗願要過，也未嘗喜悅過（而這種祭物卻是按照律法而供獻的）；以後又說：『看哪，我來了、是要遵行你旨意的』。可見他是取消那先前的，為要立定那在後的啊。本着這個旨意，藉着耶穌基督儘一次之供獻身體，我們已成為聖別了。再者，所有的祭司、都是天天站着、作事奉的工，屢次供獻同樣的祭物、永不能把罪除掉的祭物。惟獨這一位、卻替罪獻了一次的祭，就永續不斷地坐在上帝的右邊；以後就只期待着、到他的仇敵都被處置做他腳的凳子為止。因為他用一次的供獻、就已使聖別的人永持不變地完全無罪了。聖靈也對我們作證，因為他說：『那些日子以後，主說：我要對他們立的、就是以下這種約：我要頒賜我的律法在他們心上，我要將那些律法寫在他們的心神上』；以後又說：『他們的罪和不法之行為、我決不再記着。』哪裏有赦罪的事，哪裏就不再為罪獻祭了。所以弟兄們，我們既有坦然無懼的心，靠着耶穌的血而進入聖所，

他要出來、到永恆主面前的祭壇那裏，為壇除罪染，取公牛的一點兒血、和公山羊的血，抹在祭壇四角上的四圍。

其實幾乎可以說，按照律法，凡物都是用血潔淨的：沒有流血的事，就沒有赦免的事。這樣，天上之事的仿本既然必須用這些禮節來潔淨，那天上的本物自然必須用比這些更好的祭獻去潔淨了。

因為萬有所為、萬有所藉而存在的上帝，在領着許多兒子進入榮耀，使拯救他們的開創者藉着受苦而得完全，本是適當的。

亞倫宰了那給人民做平安祭的公牛和公綿羊，亞倫的兒子們把血遞給他，他就潑在祭壇的四圍；
