主永恆主對摩西發神諭說：你要將一隻牛、是小公牛、作為解罪染祭、給祭司利未人、撒督的後裔、那些親近我來伺候我的祭司。

亞倫要把為自己做解罪祭的公牛獻上，為本身和本家行除罪禮。

若是受膏的祭司犯了罪、以致人民有了罪責，那麼他就應當為了他所犯的罪將一隻牛、是完全沒有殘疾的小公牛、供獻與永恆主為解罪祭。他要把公牛牽到會棚的出入處，在永恆主面前、按手在公牛頭上，在永恆主面前把公牛宰了。受膏的祭司要取些公牛的血，帶到會棚；祭司要把指頭蘸在血裏，在永恆主面前、對着聖所的帷帳彈點兒血七次。祭司要把點兒血抹在會棚內永恆主面前香壇的四角上，又把公牛所有的血都倒在會棚的出入處燔祭壇腳那裏。他要把解罪祭的公牛一切脂肪都取起來；就是把蓋臟腑上的脂肪和臟腑上的一切脂肪、兩個腰子、和腰子上的脂肪、靠近腰兩旁的脂肪、和肝上的附屬物、連腰子、都取下來，（正如從平安祭的牛取起來一樣）；祭司要把這些祭品燻在燔祭壇上。至於公牛的皮和所有的肉、連頭帶腿、以及臟腑和糞：就是整隻公牛，卻要搬出營外、潔淨的地方、倒灰的所在、在柴上用火燒牠：總要在倒灰的地方燒。

這樣的大祭司、虔聖、無邪、無染污、隔離罪人、高過諸天、正合乎我們所需要的。他無需乎像那些大祭司、每日先要替自己的罪、然後替人民的罪獻上祭物；因為他把自己獻上，就將這事儘一次作完了。律法是設立了許多人做大祭司、總是有弱點的人；但律法之後起誓的話卻是設立了一個兒子、是完全勝任到永遠的。

律法因肉體而軟弱、所不能成的、上帝倒成了：他差了他自己的兒子，用有罪的肉體之樣式、為除罪的緣故、在肉體中定了罪的罪案，

我要把肥牛的燔祭同燻公綿羊的香氣獻上與你；也獻公牛同公山羊。（細拉）

『你要把那公牛牽到會棚前來獻；亞倫和他兒子們要按手在那公牛頭上。你要在永恆主面前、在會棚出入處宰這公牛，取些公牛的血，用指頭抹在祭壇的四角上，把所有的血倒在祭壇腳那裏。你要把一切蓋臟腑的脂肪、肝上附屬物、和兩個腰子、和腰子上的脂肪、都燻在祭壇上。至於公牛的肉、皮、和糞、你卻要在營外用火去燒：這是解罪祭。

『你要將亞倫帶來，叫他的兒子們和他一同來，也將聖衣和膏油、跟作為解罪祭的一隻公牛、兩隻公綿羊、和一筐無酵餅、都帶來；

亞倫要把兩手按在那隻活的公山羊頭上，在羊身上承認以色列人的一切罪愆、一切過犯跟一切的罪，把這一切都歸在那公山羊頭上，交在一個隨時有準備的人手裏，去放到曠野。

他叫那不認識罪的替我們成了罪，好叫我們在他裏面成為上帝之義。

永恆主雖定意用憂患將他壓傷，但他將本身獻為賠罪祭時，他卻要看到他的後裔，並且延年益壽，而永恆主定的旨意也必在他手中順利地實現，

因為基督也曾儘一次為我們的罪而受死，義的替不義的，為要領我們進到上帝面前。在肉身裏、他是被處死了，但在靈裏、他卻得存活了。

他要按手在燔祭牲的頭上、為自己行除罪禮，便蒙悅納。
