他（“他”直譯是“他們”）要承認自己所犯的罪，把虧負人的損失，原數賠償之外，另外加上五分之一，給予他虧負的人。如果那人沒有近親可以把所虧負的賠償給他，所虧負的，就要還給耶和華，就是歸給祭司，此外還要獻上為他贖罪的代罪公綿羊。

看哪，我在這裡！你們只管在耶和華面前，以及在他的受膏者面前，作證指控我：我奪過誰的牛？搶過誰的驢？欺負過誰？虐待過誰？從誰手裡受過賄賂，以致我的眼睛因此被蒙住呢？如果有，我必償還給你們。”

“如果人偷了牛或是羊，無論是宰了或是賣了，他必須賠償，以五牛還一牛，以四羊還一羊。（本節在《馬索拉文本》為21:37）

所偷之物，無論是牛、是驢，或是羊，如果發現在他手中仍然活著，他必須雙倍償還。

我所揀選的禁食不是這樣嗎？不是要鬆開兇惡的鎖鍊，解開軛上的繩索，使被壓迫的獲得自由，折斷所有的軛嗎？

盜賊因飢餓偷竊充飢，人不會鄙視他。但如果他被捉住，就要七倍償還，要把他家裡所有的財物都交出來。

“如果人把銀子或家中物件交給鄰舍看守，這些東西從那人的家被偷去；如果把竊賊抓到了，竊賊就要雙倍償還。

所以你在祭壇上獻供物的時候，如果在那裡想起你的弟兄對你不滿，就當在壇前放下供物，先去與弟兄和好，然後才來獻你的供物。

任何爭訟的案件，無論是為了牛、驢、羊、衣服，或是甚麼遺失了的東西，如果一方說：‘這是我的’，這樣，雙方的案件就要帶到審判官（“審判官”原文作“神”）面前，審判官定誰有罪，誰就要雙倍償還給他的鄰舍。

那時，你求告，耶和華必應允；你呼求，他必說：“我在這裡！”你若從你中間除掉欺壓人的軛，除去指責人的指頭和惡毒的言語，
