For whosoever eateth the fat of the beast, of which men offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, even the soul that eateth[ it] shall be cut off from his people.Moreover ye shall eat no manner of blood,[ whether it be] of fowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings.Whatsoever soul[ it be] that eateth any manner of blood, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any[ man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for[ this] day[ is] holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and[ from] fornication, and[ from] things strangled, and[ from] blood.For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

Wherefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Ye eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes toward your idols, and shed blood: and shall ye possess the land?

For every creature of God[ is] good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them, that he that sprinkleth the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he that toucheth the water of separation shall be unclean until even.

But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord GOD:
