希律要把彼得提出来审判的前一夜，彼得被两条铁链捆锁，睡在两个士兵中间，又有一些卫兵在监狱门前看守着。

我躺下，我睡着，我醒来，都因耶和华扶持我。

“我把平安留给你们，我把我的平安赐给你们。我给你们的，不像世界所给的。你们心里不要愁烦，也不要胆怯。

这样，我们既然因信称义，就藉着我们的主耶稣基督与神和好了；

他的政权与平安必加增无穷；他必在大卫的宝座上统管他的国，以公正和公义使国坚立稳固，从今直到永远。万军之耶和华的热心必成就这事。

我要听神耶和华所说的话，因为他要向他的子民、向他的忠信者宣告平安，不让他们转回愚昧。

你躺下时，也不会惧怕；你躺下，就睡得甜美。

这样，神的平安——那高过一切理性的平安，就会在基督耶稣里保守你们的心、你们的意念。最后，弟兄们，凡是真实的、庄重的、公义的、纯洁的、可羡慕的、高尚的，如果有什么美德，如果有什么可称赞的，这些事你们就当思想；凡是你们在我身上所学到的、所领受的、所听到的、所看到的，这些事你们就当实行。这样，赐平安的神就会与你们同在。

我造光，也造黑暗；我造平安，也造灾祸；是我耶和华行了这一切。

如果不是耶和华建造房屋，建造的人就枉然劳苦；如果不是耶和华看守城池，看守的人就枉然警醒。你们早早起来，迟迟安歇，吃劳苦得来的饭，也是枉然；要知道，耶和华必使他所爱的人安睡。

你往来行走时，她就引导你；你躺下时，她就保守你；你醒来时，她就与你谈论；
