我依其逆行、散之於敵國、後若其剛愎之心、剛愎之心或作不淨之心自卑以服罪、

which made me hostile toward them so that I sent them into the land of their enemies— then when their uncircumcised hearts are humbled and they pay for their sin,

What you did made me become your enemy. I let your enemies take you into their land. But suppose you stop being stubborn. You stop being proud. And you pay for your sin.

“你们这些顽固不化、心和耳都未受割礼的人哪，你们总是抗拒圣灵！你们的祖先怎样，你们也怎样。

在他里面，你们也受了割礼，不是藉着人的手，而是藉着脱去那血肉之躯，藉着基督的割礼。

实际上，我们才是受过割礼的人，就是藉着神的灵事奉，在基督耶稣里夸耀，不依靠肉体的人。

不过他赐下更大的恩典，所以经上说：“神抵挡骄傲的人，赐恩典给谦卑的人。”因此，你们要服从神，要抵挡魔鬼，魔鬼就会逃避你们。你们要亲近神，神就会亲近你们。你们这些罪人哪，当使你们的手洁净！心怀二意的人哪，当使你们的心纯洁！你们应当难过、悲伤、痛哭；把你们的欢笑变为悲伤，快乐变为忧闷。

“主啊，公义在于你；至于我们犹大人、耶路撒冷的居民，以及你驱赶到远近各地的全体以色列人，因为对你行事不忠，都满面羞耻，就像今天这样！耶和华啊，我们和我们的君王们、首领们、祖先们都满面羞耻，因为我们对你犯了罪！怜悯和赦免在于主我们的神；我们却背叛了他，没有听从耶和华我们神的话，没有遵行他藉着他的仆人众先知在我们面前所立的律法。“全体以色列人都违背、偏离了你的律法，不听从你的话；因此神的仆人摩西的律法上所记的诅咒和审判都倾泻在我们身上，因为我们对神犯了罪。神实现了他的话语，就是他针对我们、针对那些审判我们的审判官所说的，为要使极大的祸患临到我们身上；像这样在耶路撒冷所发生的祸患，在普天之下从来没有发生过。照着摩西的律法上所记的，这一切祸患都临到我们身上；然而我们却没有恳求耶和华我们神的恩宠，好使我们回转离开自己的罪孽，留心你的真理。于是耶和华有意使这祸患临到我们身上，因为耶和华我们的神所做的一切都是公义的，但我们却没有听从他的话。

我默然无声，也不开口，因为这都是你所做的。

我的神哪，求你侧耳听，求你垂听！求你睁开眼睛观看我们的荒凉和这被称为你名下的城，因为我们在你面前呈上的恳求不是因着我们的义，而是因着你丰盛的怜悯。主啊，求你垂听！主啊，求你赦免！主啊，求你留心听并且行动！我的神哪，为你自己的缘故，求你不要迟延，因为你的城和你的子民都是被称为你名下的。”

同样，你们年轻的，当服从年长的。每个人当彼此以谦卑束腰，因为“神抵挡骄傲的人，赐恩典给谦卑的人。”所以，你们当在神大能的手下降卑，好让他在所定的时候高举你们。

其实外表上做犹太人的，并不是犹太人；外表上、肉身上的割礼，也不是割礼。然而，在内心做犹太人的才是犹太人；同样，内心的割礼才是割礼——不是靠着律法条文而是靠着圣灵；这样的人得到的称赞不是从人来的，而是从神来的。

因为我知道我的过犯，我的罪一直在我面前。我对你，唯独对你犯了罪，我做了你眼中看为恶的事；因此你说话的时候就显为公义，你审判的时候就显为清正。

我告诉你们：下去回家时已经被称为义的是这个税吏，而不是那个法利赛人。因为每一个自我高举的都会被降卑；而自我降卑的都会被高举。”

因为在基督耶稣里，受割礼或不受割礼都没有用处，只有藉着爱行出来的信仰才有用处。
