“‘ When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. Leave them for the poor and for the foreigner residing among you. I am the Lord your God.’”

“‘ Suppose you are gathering your crops. Then do not harvest all the way to the edges of your field. And do not pick up the grain you missed. Leave some for the poor people and the outsiders who live among you. I am the Lord your God.’ ”

“如果你们在田间收割庄稼时忘了一捆，不可回去取，要留给孤儿寡妇和寄居者。这样，你们的上帝耶和华必使你们凡事蒙福。你们打橄榄时，打过一次后不可再打，要把剩下的留给孤儿寡妇和寄居者。你们摘葡萄时，摘过一次后不可再摘，要把剩下的留给孤儿寡妇和寄居者。

你们要和儿女、仆婢、同城的利未人、寄居者及孤儿寡妇在你们的上帝耶和华选定的敬拜场所，在祂面前一起欢喜快乐。你们要记住自己曾在埃及做过奴隶，因此要谨遵这些律例。“在收藏好谷物和新酒后，你们要守七天的住棚节。住棚节期间，你们要和儿女、仆婢、同城的利未人、寄居者及孤儿寡妇一起欢庆。

当她起来又要去捡麦穗的时候，波阿斯就吩咐他的工人说：“你们要任由她捡，就算她在割下的麦子中捡麦穗，你们也不要为难她。甚至要从麦捆中抽一些出来让她捡，不要责骂她。”于是，路得便在田间继续捡麦穗，到了黄昏，她把捡到的麦穗打了，大约有十三公斤大麦。她把捡来的麦子带回城里给婆婆拿俄米看，又把剩下来的食物给婆婆。婆婆问她：“你今天在哪里拾麦穗？在哪里做工？愿那善待你的人蒙福！”她就告诉婆婆说：“今天我在一个名叫波阿斯的人那里工作。”拿俄米说：“愿耶和华赐福给他，他对活着的和过世的都是那么有情有义。”拿俄米又对路得说：“这人是我们本族的人，是我们的一个近亲。”摩押女子路得说：“他还对我说，‘你可以跟在我的工人后面捡麦穗，直到他们把我的庄稼都收完为止。’”拿俄米对儿媳路得说：“我的女儿啊，你就跟他的女工一起到田里去，免得去别人的田里被欺负。”因此，路得便常跟波阿斯的女工在一起捡麦穗，直到大麦小麦都收割完毕。路得就这样陪伴婆婆过日子。

于是，路得便去了。她恰巧来到以利米勒的亲戚波阿斯的田里，跟在收割的人后面捡麦穗。当时，波阿斯刚好从伯利恒来到田间，向那些收割的工人问安说：“愿耶和华与你们同在。”他们回答说：“愿耶和华赐福与你。”波阿斯问负责收割的工头说：“那是谁家的女子？”工头回答说：“她是摩押女子，跟拿俄米刚从摩押回来。她求我让她跟在收割的人后面，捡工人扎捆时遗落的麦穗。她一大早就来到这里，一直捡到现在，除了在凉棚里稍微坐了一会儿之外，几乎没有休息。”

因此，我认为有必要请那几位弟兄先去你们那里，将你们从前认捐的款项收集妥当，这样就表明你们的捐赠是出于甘心乐意，而不是出于勉强。要记住：“少种的少收，多种的多收。”各人心里想捐多少就捐多少，不要勉强，不要为难。因为捐得甘心乐意的人才是上帝所喜爱的。上帝能够将各样的恩典多多赐给你们，使你们在各方面常常富足有余，可以多行各样的善事。正如圣经上说：“他慷慨施舍、周济穷人，他的仁义永远长存。”赐农夫种子又赐人粮食的上帝，必加倍赐给你们种子，使你们收获更多仁义的果子，叫你们事事丰裕，可以多多施舍。这样，从我们这里得到你们帮助的人便会向上帝献上感恩。因为这件善事不单可以帮助经济困难的圣徒，也使许多人对上帝充满感恩。

有人乐善好施，反倒越来越富；有人一毛不拔，反而越来越穷。慷慨好施的必得昌盛，恩待他人的必蒙恩待。

把你们的食物分给饥饿的人，接待无家可归的穷人，送衣服给赤身露体的人，不躲避求助的亲人。如果你们这样做，你们的光必如晨光照耀，你们的创伤必迅速痊愈，你们的公义必在前方为你们开路，耶和华的荣耀必在后面保护你们。

我何曾拒绝穷人的请求，或使寡妇眼露失望之情，或独吞我的食物，不与孤儿同享？我自幼就如父亲般抚养孤儿，我自出母胎就照顾寡妇。倘若我见有人冻得要死，或有穷人衣不蔽体，却没有把我的羊毛给他们御寒，以致他们向我道谢；倘若我仗着在城门口有势力，就动手欺负孤儿，

善待穷人的有福了！耶和华必救他们脱离困境。耶和华必保护他们，救他们的性命，使他们在地上享福，不让仇敌恶谋得逞。他们生病在床，耶和华必看顾，使他们康复。

如果你们给饥饿的人食物，扶助困苦的人，你们的光必照亮黑暗，你们的黑夜必变成正午。

他慷慨施舍，周济穷人；他的仁义永远长存；他必充满力量，得享尊荣。

只要你们发自内心地去施舍，一切对你们都是洁净的。
