And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

如果有人求问灵媒或巫师，与他们苟合，我必严惩，将他从民中铲除。

“如果有人转向交鬼的和行法术的，随从他们行淫，我必向那人变脸，把他从他的族人中剪除。

「人若轉向招魂的和行巫術的，隨從他們行淫，我就要向這人變臉，把他從百姓中剪除。

如果有人求問靈媒或巫師，與他們苟合，我必嚴懲，將他從民中剷除。

『人偏向交鬼的和行巫術的、變節去隨從他們，我要向那人板着臉，把他從他的族人中剪除掉。

凡狥欲從巫覡術士者、我必怒之、絕於民中、

憑於卜神、而為巫覡。有狥欲以從者、我必罰之、絕於民中。

凡行邪妄從交鬼之人及巫覡者、我必向斯人震怒、滅絕於民中、

“‘ I will set my face against anyone who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute themselves by following them, and I will cut them off from their people.

“‘ Suppose someone looks for advice from people who get messages from those who have died. Or they go to people who talk to the spirits of the dead. And they do what those people say. Then they have not been faithful to me. So I will turn against them. I will separate them from their people.

“ If a person turns to mediums and necromancers, whoring after them, I will set my face against that person and will cut him off from among his people.

“ I will also turn against those who commit spiritual prostitution by putting their trust in mediums or in those who consult the spirits of the dead. I will cut them off from the community.

“ Whoever turns to mediums or spiritists and prostitutes himself with them, I will turn against that person and cut him off from his people.

‘ As for the person who turns to mediums and to spiritists, to play the prostitute with them, I will also set My face against that person and will cut him off from among his people.

‘ And the person who turns to mediums and familiar spirits, to prostitute himself with them, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from his people.

And the soul that turneth unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto the wizards, to play the harlot after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

“ Whoever turns to mediums or spiritists and prostitutes himself with them, I will turn against that person and cut him off from his people.

“‘ The person who turns to the spirits of the dead and familiar spirits to commit prostitution by going after them, I will set my face against that person and cut him off from the midst of his people.

“‘ The person that turns to those who are mediums and wizards, to play the prostitute after them, I will even set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people.

Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I[ am] the LORD your God.

A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood[ shall be] upon them.

And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?

For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.

Ye shall not eat[ any thing] with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times.

Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and[ one] call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.

My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused[ them] to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God.

And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:

And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

There shall not be found among you[ any one] that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire,[ or] that useth divination,[ or] an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.For all that do these things[ are] an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so[ to do].

So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD,[ even] against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking[ counsel] of[ one that had] a familiar spirit, to enquire[ of it];And enquired not of the LORD: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse.
