對同胞不可心中懷恨。同胞有錯，要當面指正，免得自己因他而擔罪。

“不可心里恨你的弟兄；总要指摘你的邻舍，免得因他担罪。

勿憾同儔、必責人非、免負其罪、

勿憎同儔、責人以善、勿使陷罪。

毋心中憎同族、當責同人、免因之負罪、

“‘ Do not hate a fellow Israelite in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in their guilt.

“‘ Do not hate another Israelite in your heart. Correct your neighbor boldly when they do something wrong. Then you will not share their guilt.

“ You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him.

“ Do not nurse hatred in your heart for any of your relatives. Confront people directly so you will not be held guilty for their sin.

“ Do not harbor hatred against your brother. Rebuke your neighbor directly, and you will not incur guilt because of him.

‘ You shall not hate your fellow countryman in your heart; you may certainly rebuke your neighbor, but you are not to incur sin because of him.

‘ You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.

Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart: thou shalt surely rebuke thy neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.

“ You must not harbor hatred against your brother. Rebuke your neighbor directly, and you will not incur guilt because of him.

Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.

You must not hate your brother in your heart. You must surely reprove your fellow citizen so that you do not incur sin on account of him.

恨弟兄姊妹的人活在黑暗中，走在黑暗中，不知何去何從，因為黑暗弄瞎了他的眼睛。

若有人說自己在光明中，卻恨他的弟兄姊妹，他就仍然活在黑暗裡。

你們要小心謹慎！你的弟兄若犯了罪，要責備他。他若悔改，要饒恕他。

開誠佈公的責備勝過隱藏的愛。朋友加的創傷出自真誠，仇敵連連親吻卻是多餘。

弟兄姊妹，如果有人不慎犯了罪，你們順從聖靈的人就應該溫柔地挽回他，同時也要小心，免得自己也受誘惑。

「如果你的弟兄得罪了你，你要找個機會跟他單獨在一起，指出他的錯處。如果他肯接受勸告，你就得了一位弟兄。如果他不聽勸告，你就帶一兩位弟兄去見他，讓兩三個人為談話作證。如果他仍然不聽，就應當告訴教會。如果他連教會也不聽，就把他看作異教徒或稅吏。

怨恨人的用美言掩飾自己，心中卻藏著詭詐。縱然他甜言蜜語，你也不可信他，因為他心中充滿各種可憎之事。雖然他用詭計掩飾怨恨，他的邪惡必被會眾揭穿。

你們竟然還自高自大！難道你們不該痛心，把做這事的人從你們當中趕出去嗎？

不可參與那些黑暗無益的事，反要揭發斥責，

他們明知，按上帝公義的法則，做這些事的人該死，不但執迷不悟，還喜歡別人跟他們同流合污。

我情願受義人出於愛心的責打，他們的責打是良藥，我不會逃避。我要不斷地用禱告抵擋惡人的行徑。

那些一直犯罪的人，你要當眾責備他們，以警戒眾人。

你要講明這些事，運用各樣權柄勸勉人、責備人，別讓人輕看你。

這話是真的。因此你要嚴正地斥責他們，使他們有純正的信仰，

無論時機好壞，都要堅持傳道，以百般的忍耐和教導督責人、警戒人、勉勵人。

不要責備嘲諷者，免得他恨你；要責備智者，他必愛你。

為人行按手禮，不要操之過急。不要沾染別人的罪，要潔身自好。

以掃因為父親把祝福給了雅各，就對雅各懷恨在心，暗自思量說：「父親已經不久人世，他死後，我要把雅各殺掉！」

後來，彼得到了安提阿，因他做錯了事，我就當面責備他。從雅各那裡來的人還沒有抵達之前，彼得和外族的信徒一起吃飯。但那些人抵達以後，彼得因為怕那些堅持行割禮的猶太人批評，就與外族的信徒分開了。其他的猶太基督徒也跟著彼得裝假，甚至連巴拿巴也隨從了他們的虛偽。我看見他們不照福音的真理行，就當眾對彼得說：「你身為猶太人，如果行事為人像外族人，不像猶太人，又怎能強迫外族人按猶太人的規矩生活呢？」
