And thou shalt say unto them, Whatsoever man[ there be] of the house of Israel, or of the strangers which sojourn among you, that offereth a burnt offering or sacrifice,

“ Say to them:‘ Any Israelite or any foreigner residing among them who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice

“ Tell them,‘ Suppose someone offers a burnt offering or sacrifice. It does not matter whether they are an Israelite or an outsider.

“ And you shall say to them, Any one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice

“ Give them this command as well. If any native Israelite or foreigner living among you offers a burnt offering or a sacrifice

“ Say to them: Anyone from the house of Israel or from the aliens who reside among them who offers a burnt offering or a sacrifice

“ Then you shall say to them,‘ Anyone from the house of Israel, or from the strangers who reside among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,

“ Also you shall say to them:‘ Whatever man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who dwell among you, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,

And thou shalt say unto them, Whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among them, that offereth a burnt- offering or sacrifice,

“ Say to them: Anyone from the house of Israel or from the foreigners who live among them who offers a burnt offering or a sacrifice

“ You are to say to them:‘ Any man from the house of Israel or from the foreigners who reside in their midst, who offers a burnt offering or a sacrifice

“ You shall say to them,‘ Any man there is of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an offering unto the LORD, ye shall bring your offering of the cattle,[ even] of the herd, and of the flock.If his offering[ be] a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD.

And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD[ that was] broken down.And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the LORD came, saying, Israel shall be thy name:And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed.And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid[ him] on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour[ it] on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood.And he said, Do[ it] the second time. And they did[ it] the second time. And he said, Do[ it] the third time. And they did[ it] the third time.And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water.And it came to pass at[ the time of] the offering of the[ evening] sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou[ art] God in Israel, and[ that] I[ am] thy servant, and[ that] I have done all these things at thy word.Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou[ art] the LORD God, and[ that] thou hast turned their heart back again.Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that[ was] in the trench.

And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered[ it for] a burnt offering wholly unto the LORD: and Samuel cried unto the LORD for Israel; and the LORD heard him.

And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people:

And thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold, I will come down unto thee, to offer burnt offerings,[ and] to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings: seven days shalt thou tarry, till I come to thee, and shew thee what thou shalt do.

And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.

And whatsoever man[ there be] of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people.

And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.

For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name[ shall be] great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense[ shall be] offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name[ shall be] great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.

And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear[ it], he will kill me. And the LORD said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the LORD.
