拿着七個碗的七位天使中，有一位前來對我說：「來，我要讓你看那坐在眾水之上的大淫婦所要受的懲罰；地上的君王都曾與她行淫，住在地上的人也喝醉了她淫亂的酒。」我在聖靈感動下，被天使帶到曠野去，我看見一個女人騎在朱紅色的獸上；那隻獸有七個頭十個角，遍體有褻瀆的名號。那女人穿着紫色和朱紅色的衣服，用金子、寶石、珍珠作妝飾，手拿着金杯，杯中盛滿了可憎之物和她淫亂的污穢。在她額上寫着奧祕的名字，說：「大巴比倫，世上的淫婦和一切可憎之物的母。」

那時，你們在過犯罪惡中生活，隨從今世的風俗，順服空中掌權者的領袖，就是現今在悖逆的人心中運行的邪靈。

現在正是這世界受審判的時候；現在這世界的統治者要被趕出去。

這些不信的人被這世界的神明弄瞎了心眼，使他們看不見基督榮耀的福音。基督本是上帝的像。

我不再和你們多說了，因為這世界的統治者將到，他在我身上一無所能。

耶和華說：「人若休妻，妻離他而去，做了別人的妻子，前夫豈能再回到她那裏呢？那地豈不是大大污穢了嗎？但你和許多情郎行淫，還是可以回到我這裏。這是耶和華說的。

她從埃及的時候，就沒有離開過淫亂；因為她年輕時，有人與她同寢，撫弄她少女的乳房，和她縱慾行淫。
