For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.

即按父天主之預知蒙選、感於聖神而成聖、以致能順服耶穌基督、且得灑以其血者、願恩寵平安、多加於爾、○

今我儕因基督之血、既得稱義、不更可賴之而免怒乎、

亞倫乃牽為己作贖罪祭之犢、為己與眷屬贖罪、遂宰此作贖罪祭之犢、

此乃我血、即新約之血、為眾而流、以赦罪者也、

乃宰犢、摩西以指蘸血、塗於祭臺四角、以潔祭臺、餘血傾於祭臺之基、別祭臺為聖、可於其上獻贖罪祭、

即如人子來、非以役人、乃役於人、且舍其生以贖眾也、○

凡活物之生命、皆在血中、故我諭以色列人曰、凡活物之血毋食、凡活物之血即其生命、凡食之者必見滅絕、

又取犢血少許、以指蘸血、灑於贖罪蓋之東、又撒於贖罪蓋之前、凡七次、乃宰為民作贖罪祭之牡山羊、攜其血入幔內、灑於贖罪蓋上、又灑於贖罪蓋前、如撒犢之血然、亞倫緣以色列人之不潔、愆尤罪戾、如此為內聖所行潔禮、又緣其不潔在會幕四圍、或作緣會幕在其不潔之中亦為會幕如是行、亞倫入內聖所贖罪、其未出之先、會幕中毋許有人、亞倫如此、為己為眷屬為以色列人之全會贖罪、既出、至主前之祭臺、為祭臺行潔禮、取犢之血即牡山羊之血、塗於祭臺四角、又以指蘸血、灑於祭臺凡七次、如此潔祭臺、除以色列人之不潔、使祭臺成聖、
