亞倫要先獻上那頭公牛犢作贖罪祭，為自己和全家贖罪。

“亚伦要把赎罪祭的公牛奉上，为自己和本家赎罪；

“亚伦要把他自己赎罪祭的公牛献上，为自己和家人赎罪；

“亚伦要把他自己赎罪祭的公牛献上，为自己和家人赎罪；

“ Aaron is to offer the bull for his own sin offering to make atonement for himself and his household.

可是，只有大祭司有資格每年一次獨自進入至聖所，而且每次都要端著血進去，為自己和以色列人的過犯獻上。

隨後，摩西對亞倫說：「你要到壇前來，獻上你的贖罪祭和燔祭，為自己和民眾贖罪。也要按照耶和華的吩咐，為百姓獻上他們的祭物，為他們贖罪。」

祂無需像其他大祭司每天先為自己的罪獻祭，然後為百姓的罪獻祭，因為祂只一次獻上自己的生命，便永遠完成了贖罪的工作。

摩西牽來那頭作贖罪祭的公牛，亞倫父子們把手放在牛頭上。摩西宰了牛，用手指蘸一些牛血抹在祭壇的四角上，以潔淨祭壇；把剩下的血倒在祭壇腳旁，使祭壇聖潔。他取出遮蓋內臟的脂肪、肝葉、兩個腎臟和腎臟上的脂肪，放在壇上焚燒，又照耶和華的吩咐，把公牛的皮、肉和糞便帶到營外燒掉。

祭司中娶外族女子為妻的有耶書亞的子孫約薩達的兒子及其弟兄瑪西雅、以利以謝、雅立和基大利。他們答應休掉自己的妻子，並從羊群中獻上一隻公綿羊為自己贖罪。

你要將一頭公牛犢作為贖罪祭給撒督後裔中做祭司的利未人，他們可以前來事奉我。這是主耶和華說的。

宴會的日子結束後，約伯便派人召來他的兒女，為他們行潔淨禮。他清早起來，為他們每個人獻上燔祭，因為他想：「也許我的孩子們犯了罪，心中褻瀆了上帝。」約伯常常這樣做。

他能體諒那些無知和迷失的人，因為他自己也有人性的軟弱。所以，他不但要為眾人的罪獻祭，也要為自己的罪獻祭。

從第八天開始，祭司要在祭壇上獻你們的燔祭和平安祭，我必悅納你們。這是主耶和華說的。』」
