“他挖出石头，刮了屋子，涂抹以后，霉若又在屋子里出现，

虽然我想洁净你污秽的淫行，你却不洁净，你的污秽再也不能洁净，直等我止息了向你发的愤怒。

这样的人是你们爱筵上的污点；他们无所惧怕地同你们宴乐，仿佛牧人只顾喂饱自己。他们是无雨的浮云，被风飘荡；是秋天没有果子的树，死而又死，连根被拔出来；

倘若他们因认识我们的主和救主耶稣基督而得以脱离世上的污秽，后来又被污秽缠住，被制伏，他们末后的景况就比先前更不好了。

俗语说得好，这话正印证在他们身上了：“狗转过来吃自己所吐的；”又说：“猪洗净了，又回到烂泥里打滚。”

他们极其悖逆，到处毁谤人，他们是铜是铁，全都败坏了。风箱吹火，铅被烧毁，炼而又炼，终是徒然，因为恶劣的还未除掉。人必称他们为被抛弃的银子，因为耶和华已经抛弃了他们。

论到那些已经蒙了光照、尝过天恩的滋味、又于圣灵有份、并尝过上帝的话的美味，和来世权能的人，若再离弃真道，就不可能使他们重新懊悔了；因为他们亲自把上帝的儿子重钉十字架，公然羞辱他。
