手拿香爐要燒香的烏西雅大怒，正當他在耶和華殿裡的香壇旁向眾祭司發怒的時候，他額頭上突然患了痲瘋病。亞撒利雅大祭司和眾祭司見狀，就催促他出殿，他急忙出去了，因為耶和華降災給他。烏西雅王到死一直有痲瘋病。他被隔離在別的宮中，不得進耶和華的殿。他兒子約坦管理王室，治理國家。

你們已經體無完膚，從頭到腳傷痕纍纍，傷口沒有清洗，沒有包紮，也沒有敷藥。

耶穌又囑咐他：「不要把這事告訴別人，要去讓祭司察看你的身體，照摩西的規定獻上祭物，向眾人證明你已經潔淨了。」

耶和華又說：「把手放進懷裡。」摩西把手放進懷裡，手抽出來的時候，竟患了痲瘋病，像雪一樣白。耶和華說：「再把手放進懷裡。」摩西又把手放進懷裡，這次再抽出來的時候，手已經復原，跟其他地方的皮肉一樣。

耶穌對他說：「不要把這事告訴別人，要去讓祭司查看你的身體，並且照摩西的規定獻祭，向眾人證明你已經潔淨了。」
