He shall tear it open by the wings, not dividing it completely, and then the priest shall burn it on the wood that is burning on the altar. It is a burnt offering, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.

He must take hold of the wings of the bird and tear it open. But he must not tear it in two. Then the priest will burn it on the wood burning on the altar. It is a burnt offering. It is a food offering. Its smell pleases the Lord.

耶和華聞到這燔祭的馨香，心想：「雖然人從小就心存惡念，但我再不會因為人的緣故而咒詛大地，再不會毀滅一切生靈。

獻祭者要用水洗淨羊的內臟和腿。祭司要把這一切都放在壇上焚燒。這是燔祭，是蒙耶和華悅納的馨香火祭。

你不會把我的靈魂撇在陰間，也不會讓你的聖者身體朽壞。

耶穌嚐了那醋酒，然後說：「成了！」就垂下頭來，將靈魂交給了上帝。

讓我們靠著基督，常常開口以頌讚為祭獻給上帝，這是承認主名的人所結的果子。不可忘記行善和幫補別人，因為這樣的祭是上帝所喜悅的。

因為基督也曾一次為罪受苦，以無罪之身代替不義之人，為要領你們到上帝面前。祂的肉體雖被處死，但祂藉著聖靈復活了。

耶穌又大喊了一聲，就斷了氣。

你並非喜愛燔祭和贖罪祭。於是我說，『上帝啊，我來是要遵行你的旨意，我的事都記在聖經上了。』」基督首先說：「祭物、供物、燔祭和贖罪祭都不是你想要的，也不是你喜悅的。」這些都是依照律法獻上的。然後祂又說：「我來是要遵行你的旨意。」這樣，祂廢除了前者，為要設立後者。上帝的旨意是：耶穌基督只一次獻上自己的身體，便使我們永遠聖潔了。祭司都要天天站著供職，一次次地獻上同樣的祭物，只是這些祭物根本不能除罪。而基督一次獻上自己成為永遠的贖罪祭後，就坐在上帝的右邊，

而是靠無瑕無疵的代罪羔羊——基督的寶血。基督是上帝在創世以前預先揀選的，卻在這末世為你們顯現。你們藉著基督信了使祂從死裡復活、賜祂榮耀的上帝，所以，你們的信心和盼望都在於上帝。

他要把牠們帶到祭司那裡，祭司要先用一隻鳥獻贖罪祭，要扭斷鳥脖子，但不可扯掉頭。

耶穌受害而死是為了我們的過犯，祂復活是為了使我們成為義人。
