野狗尚且哺乳其子，我百姓的婦人反倒殘忍，如曠野的鴕鳥一般；

Even jackals offer their breasts to nurse their young, but my people have become heartless like ostriches in the desert.

在你中間，父親要吃兒子，兒子要吃父親。我必向你施行審判，將你剩下的人分散四方。

仇敵和尋索其命的人追逼他們，使他們落在圍困窘迫之中，我必使他們各人吃自己兒女的肉和朋友的肉。』

「鴕鳥的翅膀歡然拍動，但豈是鸛的翎毛和羽毛嗎？因牠把蛋留在地上，使蛋在塵土中得溫暖，卻忘記腳會把蛋踹碎，野獸會踐踏它。牠粗暴待雛，似乎不是自己生的；雖徒然勞苦，也不懼怕。

當我百姓遭毀滅的時候，慈心的婦人親手烹煮自己的兒女為食物。

他們必在你的各城圍困你，直到你在全地所倚靠、高大堅固的城牆都倒塌。他們必在耶和華－你上帝所賜給你全地的各城圍困你。你在仇敵圍困的窘迫中，必吃你本身所生的，就是耶和華－你上帝所賜給你的兒女之肉。你中間，連那溫和文雅的人都必冷眼惡待自己的兄弟和懷中的妻子，以及他所剩下其餘的兒女，不把所吃兒女的肉分一點給他們任何一個人，因為在被仇敵圍困、陷入窘迫的各城中，他已經一無所剩了。你中間柔順嬌嫩的婦人，甚至因柔順嬌嫩腳不肯踏地的婦人，也必冷眼惡待她懷中的丈夫和自己的兒女。在被仇敵圍困、陷入窘迫的城鎮中，她因缺乏一切，就要暗中把從她兩腿中間出來的胞衣和所生下的兒女吃了。

耶和華啊，求你觀看，留意你向誰這樣行。婦人豈可吃自己所生、所撫育的嬰孩嗎？祭司和先知豈可在主的聖所中被殺嗎？

你們要吃你們兒子的肉，也要吃你們女兒的肉。

耶穌轉身對她們說：「耶路撒冷的女子，不要為我哭，要為你們自己和你們的兒女哭。因為日子將到，人要說：『不生育的、未曾懷孕的，和未曾哺乳孩子的有福了！』

頑梗不化的、言而無信的、無情無義的、不憐憫人的。

一日，以色列王在城牆上經過，有一個婦人向他呼叫說：「我主，我王啊！求你幫助。」王說：「耶和華不幫助你，我從哪裏幫助你呢？是從禾場，或從壓酒池嗎？」王對婦人說：「你有甚麼事？」她說：「這婦人對我說：『把你的兒子交出來，我們今日可以吃他，明日可以吃我的兒子。』我們就煮了我的兒子吃了。次日我對她說：『要把你的兒子交出來，我們可以吃。』她卻把她的兒子藏起來。」

婦人焉能忘記她吃奶的嬰孩，不憐憫她所生的兒子？即或有忘記的，我卻不忘記你。
