Now they grope through the streets as if they were blind. They are so defiled with blood that no one dares to touch their garments.

Now those prophets and priests have to feel their way along the streets as if they were blind. The blood of those they killed has made them“ unclean.” So no one dares to touch their clothes.

你們的衣服沾滿無辜窮人的血，他們並沒有進你們的家偷竊。

你們舉手禱告，我必掩面不理。即使你們禱告再多，我也不會聽，因為你們雙手沾滿鮮血。

「祂要使你們發瘋、失明、心智錯亂。「你們必在大白天摸索，就像盲人在黑暗中摸索一樣，你們的道路必不得亨通，你們要終日受人欺壓搶掠，無人搭救。

人若在野外碰過被殺或自然死亡之人的屍體，或碰過死人的骸骨或墳墓，就七天不潔淨。

以色列的守望者瞎眼無知，是不會叫的啞巴狗，只喜歡躺下睡覺做夢。

因此，黑夜必籠罩你們，使你們看不見異象；幽暗必臨到你們，使你們無法占卜。太陽要因你們而沉落，白晝變為黑夜。假先見必抱愧，占卜者必蒙羞。因得不到上帝的答覆，你們必羞愧地捂著臉。」

這樣，你們就不致玷污你們所居住的土地，因為血會玷污土地。除非用兇手的血作抵償，否則被血玷污的土地無法得到潔淨。

隨便他們吧！他們是瞎眼的嚮導。瞎子給瞎子領路，二人都會掉進坑裡。」

他們因為愚昧無知，頑固不化，理智受到蒙蔽，與上帝所賜的生命隔絕了。

因為耶和華把沉睡的靈傾倒在你們身上，祂封住你們的眼睛，蓋住你們的頭。你們的眼睛就是先知，你們的頭就是先見。對你們而言，所有的啟示都好像封了印的書卷。你們把書卷交給識字的人讀，他會說：「我不能讀，這書卷是封著的。」你們把書卷交給不識字的人讀，他會說：「我不識字。」

因此，正義遠離我們，公義臨不到我們。我們渴望光明，卻得到黑暗；我們渴望曙光，卻仍然走在幽暗中。我們像盲人一樣沿牆摸索，像無眼睛的人一樣探路。我們在中午也跌跌撞撞，如同走在晚上。我們在強壯人當中如同死人。我們像熊一樣咆哮，如鴿子一般哀鳴。我們渴望正義，卻得不到；渴望得到拯救，卻遙不可及。

他們咒詛、撒謊、兇殺、偷竊、通姦，為所欲為，血案纍纍。
