他們要將銀子拋在街上，金子看如污穢之物。當耶和華發怒的日子，他們的金銀不能救他們，不能使心裏知足，也不能使肚腹飽滿，因為這金銀作了他們罪孽的絆腳石。論到耶和華妝飾華美的殿，他建立得威嚴，他們卻在其中製造可憎可厭的偶像，所以這殿我使他們看如污穢之物。我必將這殿交付外邦人為掠物，交付地上的惡人為擄物；他們也必褻瀆這殿。我必轉臉不顧以色列人，他們褻瀆我隱密之所，強盜也必進去褻瀆。

夜間，每逢交更的時候要起來呼喊，在主面前傾心如水。你的孩童在各市口上受餓發昏；你要為他們的性命向主舉手禱告。

可歎，忠信的城變為妓女！從前充滿了公平，公義居在其中，現今卻有兇手居住。

用火焚燒耶和華的殿和王宮，又焚燒耶路撒冷的房屋，就是各大戶家的房屋。跟從護衛長迦勒底的全軍就拆毀耶路撒冷四圍的城牆。

明亮之星，早晨之子啊，你何竟從天墜落？你這攻敗列國的何竟被砍倒在地上？

耶穌對他們說：「你們不是看見這殿宇嗎？我實在告訴你們，將來在這裏沒有一塊石頭留在石頭上，不被拆毀了。」
