以東若說：『我們現在雖被毁壞，卻必重建廢墟』，萬軍之永恆主卻這麼說：『他們儘管建造，我卻必拆毁，直到他們被叫做邪惡之境地、永恆主永遠惱怒的人民。』

那些買了他們的、殺戮他們，而被算為無罪；那賣了他們的則說：「願永恆主受祝頌、使我致富」；而「牧養」他們的竟不顧惜他們。因此我必不再顧惜這地的居民，永恆主發神諭說。看吧，我必將人各交於其牧民者手中，各交於其王手中。他們必砸毁這地；我必不援救人脫離他們的手。』

然後我要將猶大王西底家，永恆主發神諭說，跟他的臣僕和平民，就是在這城內、從瘟疫、刀劍和饑荒中所剩下來的人、都交在巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒手中，和他們的仇敵手中，以及那些尋索他們性命的人手中，巴比倫王必用刀肆意擊殺他們，並不顧惜，不可憐，不憐憫。」

我們交戰的武器並不是屬肉體的，乃是有屬神之能力的；能夠攻倒堅固的營壘，

故此主永恆主發神諭說：我指着永活的我來起誓，你既用你一切可憎之像和你一切可厭惡的事來污瀆我的聖所，我就一定要將你剪除；我眼必不顧惜你，我必不可憐你。

『你們上她的葡萄樹行列去行毁壞，但不可盡行毁滅；要把她的蔓延枝子除掉，因為它們不屬於永恆主。

我必剪滅你國中的城市，翻毁你一切的堡壘；我必從你手中剪除邪術，你那裏就不再有算命的；
