凡過耶路撒冷者、鼓掌搖首、作怨憤之聲、曰、天下素稱華國樂土者、非此邑乎。

凡過路者、皆因爾鼓掌、向耶路撒冷邑邑原文作女嗤笑搖頭、曰、素為極美、天下所悅之邑、即此邑乎、

All who pass your way clap their hands at you; they scoff and shake their heads at Daughter Jerusalem:“ Is this the city that was called the perfection of beauty, the joy of the whole earth?”

All those who pass by clap their hands and make fun of you. They laugh at you and shake their heads at the city of Jerusalem. They say,“ Could that be the city that was called perfect and beautiful? Is that the city that brought joy to everyone on earth?”

All who pass along the way clap their hands at you; they hiss and wag their heads at the daughter of Jerusalem:“ Is this the city that was called the perfection of beauty, the joy of all the earth?”

All who pass by jeer at you. They scoff and insult beautiful Jerusalem, saying,“ Is this the city called‘ Most Beautiful in All the World’ and‘ Joy of All the Earth’?”

All who pass by scornfully clap their hands at you. They hiss and shake their heads at Daughter Jerusalem: Is this the city that was called the perfection of beauty, the joy of the whole earth?

All who pass along the way Clap their hands in ridicule at you; They hiss and shake their heads At the daughter of Jerusalem:“ Is this the city of which they said,‘ Perfect in beauty, A joy to all the earth’?”

北面的錫安山雄偉壯麗，令世人歡喜，是偉大君王的城。

因此，他們的土地必荒涼，永遠遭人嗤笑，經過此地的人無不驚懼，搖頭歎息。

上帝的光輝從完美的錫安發出。

「主耶和華說，『你們看到以色列的災禍，便幸災樂禍，手舞足蹈。

我必摧毀這城，使它令人驚懼、嗤笑，它的滿目瘡痍必令路人驚懼、嗤笑。

以下是耶和華對他的判語，錫安的居民藐視你，嘲笑你；耶路撒冷的居民朝你逃竄的背影搖頭。

這就是那歡樂安逸、自以為無與倫比的城，現在竟然如此荒涼，成為野獸棲息之地！路過的人都搖手嘲笑它。

看見我的人都譏笑我，他們撇著嘴、搖著頭說：

你的創傷無法救治，你的傷勢極其嚴重。聽見這消息的人必鼓掌歡呼，因為誰沒受過你無休止的暴虐呢？

因為你遵守暗利的惡規，效法亞哈家的惡行，隨從他們的計謀，所以我要使你荒涼，讓你的居民成為笑柄。你們要蒙受列國的羞辱。」

以下是耶和華對他的判語，錫安的居民藐視你，嘲笑你；耶路撒冷的居民朝你逃竄的背影搖頭。

我必把以色列人從我賜給他們的土地上剷除，並離棄我為自己的名而使之聖潔的這殿，使以色列人在萬民中成為笑柄，被人嘲諷。這殿雖然宏偉，但將來經過的人必驚訝，譏笑說，『耶和華為什麼這樣對待這地方和這殿呢？』人們會回答，『因為他們背棄曾領他們祖先離開埃及的耶和華——他們的上帝，去追隨、祭拜、供奉別的神明，所以耶和華把這一切災禍降在他們身上。』」

敵人都幸災樂禍地譏諷你，他們咬牙切齒地說：「我們吞滅了她！這是我們期待已久的日子！我們終於見到這一天了！」

祂摧毀自己的居所，如同摧毀花園；祂摧毀自己規定的聚會之處，使錫安的人民忘記安息日和節期。祂在烈怒中棄絕所有的君王和祭司。

「你們的子孫後代和從遠方來的外族人，必看見耶和華降在這地方的災禍和疾病。遍地將是硫磺和鹽，無法耕種，寸草不生，如同耶和華盛怒之下毀滅的所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪和洗扁。萬國必問，『耶和華為什麼要這樣對待這地方？祂為什麼大發烈怒？』必有人回答說，『因為這地方的人背棄了他們祖先的上帝耶和華領他們出埃及時與他們所立的約，去供奉、祭拜他們所不認識、並非耶和華所分派的神明。因此，耶和華向這片土地發怒，把這書上的一切咒詛都降在這裡。耶和華盛怒之下把他們從這地方連根拔起，扔到別的地方，正如今日的情形。』

我要召集北方各族和我的僕人巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，去攻擊這片土地和其中的居民以及周圍各國。我要徹底毀滅他們，使他們的下場很可怕、令人嗤笑、土地永遠荒涼。這是耶和華說的。

這殿雖然宏偉，但將來經過的人必驚訝地問，『耶和華為什麼這樣對待這地方和這殿呢？』

巴比倫必淪為廢墟，杳無人跡，淪為豺狼出沒的地方，令人驚懼、嗤笑。

耶路撒冷罪大惡極，淪為污穢之物。從前尊重她的人看見她赤身裸體，就蔑視她。她只能哀歎、退避。

你使我們成為列國的笑柄，人們對我們連連搖頭。我終日受辱，滿面羞愧，

狂風毫不留情地擊打他，他拼命地逃離風的威力。狂風向他拍掌，呼嘯著吹走他。

過路的人都嘲笑祂，搖著頭說：

我們那聖潔、華美的殿——我們祖先頌讚你的地方已被焚毀，我們珍愛的一切都被摧毀。

過路的人都嘲笑祂，搖著頭說：「哈，你這要把聖殿拆毀又在三天內重建的人啊，

我要使他們飽受戰爭、饑荒和瘟疫之災，使他們的遭遇令天下萬國驚懼。在我流放他們去的地方，他們必受凌辱、嘲笑、譏諷和咒詛。

我給耶路撒冷和猶大的城邑，以及猶大的君王和官員喝這杯烈怒，使他們的城邑淪為廢墟，令人驚懼，被嘲笑和咒詛，正如今日一樣。
