我的愁苦無法醫治；我的心使我發暈。

我們的上帝啊，求你垂聽我們怎樣地被藐視；求你使他們的毁謗回到他們自己的頭上，使他們在被擄之地作為被掠之物。不要遮掩他們的罪孽，不要將他們的罪從你面前塗抹掉；因為他們在修造的人面前惹你發怒。

但你呢、永恆主啊，你深知道他們要害我到死的一切計謀啊。不要赦除他們的罪孽哦！不要從你面前塗抹他們的罪哦！使他們在你面前被摔倒吧！願你發怒時罰辨他們。

為了這事、我們心裏發暈，為了這些事、我們的眼昏暗，

他們大聲喊着說：『聖而真的主宰啊，你不審判、而向住在地上的人伸我們流血的冤、要等到幾時呢？』

願你將你的烈怒倒在不認識你、的外國，和不呼求你名的民族，因為他們吞喫了雅各，吞喫了他、還滅盡他，使他的莊舍荒涼。

讓錫安的居民說：『巴比倫以強暴待我和我骨肉之親，願這罪歸於巴比倫；讓耶路撒冷說：『願流我血的罪歸於迦勒底居民身上。』

『他從高天降火，使火下我骨頭；他鋪下網子來絆我的腳，使我退後；他使我淒涼，終日發暈。

故此人的手都必發軟，人都必膽戰心驚；

當耶路撒冷遭難的日子，以東人逕說：『拆光它！拆光它！拆到它的根基！』永恆主啊，記得這日、來報罰以東人哦！毁滅者巴比倫國啊，照你所待我們的去報復你的、那人有福啊！抓住你的嬰孩去摔在磐石上的、那人有福啊！

所以我求你們、不要因我為你們受的患難而喪志；這種事原是你們的光榮啊——

因為在有汁水的樹上、他們既作了這些事，在枯乾的樹上、會怎麼樣呢？』
