其言曰：『末世必有輕薄者出、目無天主、惟知縱情恣慾。』

第一，你們要知道：在諸日期的末後、必有好譏誚的人帶着譏誚而來，順着他們自己的私慾行，

我知道我離開了以後，必有兇暴的豺狼要進入你們中間，不顧惜羊羣。

因為時候必到，人必不容忍健全的教義，反而耳朵發癢，順着自己的私慾給自己堆積許多教師來，

但從前在民間竟有了假的神言人呢；照樣子、在你們中間也必有假的教師。這種人必私下引進使人滅亡的派別來，連買他們的主、他們也否認，自己引着迅速快到的滅亡。

鹵莽人心裏說沒有上帝。他們都腐敗，行了可厭惡的事；沒有人行善。永恆主從天上垂看着人類，要看有明智的沒有，有尋求上帝的沒有。

這些人是好怨尤的埋怨者，順着自己的私慾走，口中說膨脹的話，為着利益而以貌媚人。

但聖靈明說、在末後的時期、必有人離棄信仰，意向着謬妄的靈、和鬼魔的教條。在說謊話之假裝中、這種人的良知是被熱鐵烙麻木了的。

而惡人和騙子總會進到更壞，迷惑人也受人迷惑。

這一點你要知道：在末後的日子、必有艱苦的時期要來到。因為人必逕愛自己、愛銀錢、矜誇、狂傲、毁謗、悖逆父母、忘恩負義、不虔聖、無親情、不解怨、好說讒言、不能節制、蠻橫兇暴、不愛良善、出賣師友、鹵莽妄為、蒙於傲氣、愛宴樂而不愛上帝，有敬虔的形式，卻背棄了敬虔的實質；這種人、你要躲開。
