便雅悯人前来迎战，被以色列人诱到城外。他们又像前两次一样击杀以色列人，大约三十名以色列人死在通往基比亚和伯特利的两条路上。

便雅悯人这才意识到自己战败了。原来以色列人在便雅悯人面前诈败，因为他们已在基比亚附近设下伏兵。那些伏兵迅速冲进基比亚，杀了全城的人。以色列人和伏兵已有约定，伏兵在城内点起一股浓烟时，以色列人便转身杀回。便雅悯人杀了诈败的以色列军大约三十人，以为像以前一样打败了他们。

我会率领军队正面攻城，当敌人像上次那样出城应战时，我们便逃跑。他们必定乘胜追击，我们便引他们离城，因为敌人一定会以为我们又像上次一样临阵逃跑。

其实它们都是鬼魔的灵，能行奇迹。它们到普天下召集各王，预备在全能上帝的大日子来临时聚集争战。

耶和华彰显了自己的公义，使恶人自食其果。（细拉）

你必说，我要攻打那没有围墙和城门保护的乡村，毁灭那毫无戒备、安然居住的百姓。我要抢掠他们的财物，下手攻击那曾是废墟的城邑和从各国归来的百姓。他们住在世界的中心，牲畜货物甚多。示巴人、底但人以及他施的客商和首领都必问，你是来抢掠吗？你聚集军队是来抢夺金银财宝，掳掠牲畜和货物吗？”’“人子啊，你要发预言告诉歌革，主耶和华这样说，‘到那天，当我的以色列子民安然居住的时候，难道你会不知道吗？你召集各国联军，组成庞大的军队，骑着马从遥远的北方来。歌革啊，你必如密云一样遮天蔽日，前来攻击我的以色列子民。将来，我要领你来攻击我的土地，我要在列国面前借着你彰显我的圣洁，使他们认识我。’“主耶和华说，‘歌革啊，我从前借我的仆人——以色列的先知所预言的那位就是你，那时他们预言我要领你上来攻击以色列。当歌革上来攻击以色列的时候，我必发烈怒。这是主耶和华说的。我要在义愤和烈怒中宣告，那天在以色列必有大地震。海里的鱼，空中的鸟，田野的走兽，地上的一切动物和人类都要在我面前战栗。山岭必倒塌，悬崖必崩裂，墙垣必坍塌。我要在我的山岭上叫刀剑攻击歌革人，使他们自相残杀。这是主耶和华说的。我要用瘟疫、杀戮、暴雨、冰雹、烈火和硫磺惩罚他们和他们的联军。

我看见那怪兽、地上的众王及其军队聚集起来，要与白马骑士和祂的军队作战。后来，怪兽被俘虏了，在怪兽面前行奇迹的假先知也一同被擒了。这假先知曾用奇迹欺骗那些盖了兽印、敬拜兽像的人。他和怪兽一同被活活地扔进硫磺火湖里。怪兽的残兵纷纷被白马骑士口中的利剑所杀，飞鸟饱餐了他们的肉。
