Then Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and honor him. Tell me what you have done; do not hide it from me.”

Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, the Lord is the God of Israel. So give him glory and honor him by telling the truth! Tell me what you have done. Don’t hide it from me.”

Then Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, give glory to the Lord God of Israel and give praise to him. And tell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me.”

Then Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, by telling the truth. Make your confession and tell me what you have done. Don’t hide it from me.”

So Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, give glory to the LORD, the God of Israel, and make a confession to him. I urge you, tell me what you have done. Don’t hide anything from me.”

Then Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, I implore you, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and give praise to Him; and tell me now what you have done. Do not hide it from me.”

Now Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, I beg you, give glory to the Lord God of Israel, and make confession to Him, and tell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me.”

And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to Jehovah, the God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me.

So Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and make a confession to Him. I urge you, tell me what you have done. Don’t hide anything from me.”

And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide[ it] not from me.

So Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, honor the LORD God of Israel and give him praise! Tell me what you did; don’t hide anything from me!”

Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, please give glory to Yahweh, the God of Israel, and make confession to him. Tell me now what you have done! Don’t hide it from me!”

我向耶和華－我的上帝祈禱、認罪，說：「主啊，你是大而可畏的上帝，向愛主、守主誡命的人守約施慈愛。

「你要吩咐以色列人：無論男女，若犯了人所常犯的任何罪，以致干犯耶和華，那人就有了罪。他要承認所犯的罪，將所虧負人的如數賠償，另外再加五分之一，交給所虧負的人。

除了這外族人，再沒有別人回來歸榮耀給上帝嗎？」

人被炎熱所烤，就褻瀆那有權掌管這些災難的上帝的名，他們沒有悔改，也沒有把榮耀歸給上帝。

以斯拉祭司站起來，對他們說：「你們有罪了，因為你們娶了外邦女子，增添以色列的罪惡。現在當向耶和華－你們列祖的上帝認罪，遵行他的旨意，離開這地的百姓和外邦女子。」

用溫柔勸導反對的人。也許上帝會給他們悔改的心能明白真理，

遮掩自己過犯的，必不順利；承認且離棄過犯的，必蒙憐憫。

因為我知道我的過犯；我的罪常在我面前。

你去向北方宣告這些話，說：『背道的以色列啊，回來吧！這是耶和華說的。我必不怒目看你們，因為我是慈愛的，這是耶和華說的。我必不永遠懷怒；只要承認你的罪孽，就是違背耶和華－你的上帝，在各青翠的樹下追逐外族的神明，沒有聽從我的話。這是耶和華說的

總而言之，你們都要同心，彼此體恤，相愛如弟兄，存憐憫和謙卑的心。不要以惡報惡，以辱罵還辱罵，倒要祝福，因為你們正是為此蒙召的，好使你們承受福氣。

因為，人心裏信就可以稱義，口裏宣認就可以得救。

我向你陳明我的罪，不隱瞞我的惡。我說：「我要向耶和華承認我的過犯」；你就赦免我的罪惡。（細拉）

他們對約拿說：「請你告訴我們，這災難臨到我們是因誰的緣故呢？你做甚麼行業？你從哪裏來？你是哪一國的人？屬哪一族？」他說：「我是希伯來人，我敬畏耶和華，天上的上帝，他創造了滄海和陸地。」那些人就大大懼怕，對他說：「你做的是甚麼事呢？」原來他們已經知道他在躲避耶和華，因為他告訴了他們。

他在急難的時候懇求耶和華－他的上帝，並在他列祖的上帝面前極其謙卑。他祈禱耶和華，耶和華就應允他，垂聽他的禱告，使他歸回耶路撒冷，仍坐王位。瑪拿西這才知道惟獨耶和華是上帝。

因為人的怒氣並不能實現上帝的義。

我要使人比純金更少，比俄斐的赤金還少。

勸老年人要有節制、端正、克己，在信心、愛心、耐心上都要健全。
