我要承認我的罪孽，要因我的罪憂愁。

他在人前歌唱說：『我犯了罪，顛倒是非，卻沒有受該得的報應。

鑒察人的主啊，我若有罪，於你何妨？為何以我當你的箭靶，使我成為你的重擔呢？

他們彼此說：「我們在弟弟身上實在犯了罪。他哀求我們的時候，我們看見他的痛苦，卻不肯聽，所以這場苦難臨到我們。」

說：「我出賣了無辜人的血有罪了。」他們說：「那跟我們有甚麼相干？你自己承當吧！」
